This guide will show you how to apprehend Elena in Dragon’s Dogma 2 to finish the Saint In The Slums quest.
The Saint In The Slums quest is one of my personal favorite side quests in Dragon’s Dogma 2. It’s pretty long, involving many different steps in a story that is full of exciting twists and turns. It also ends with a prompt that completely confused me: Apprehend Elena.
How To Apprehend Elena In Dragon’s Dogma 2 Quest Saint Of The Slums
I love the Vernworth slums and all the stories that play out there. Finding Malcolm was a great quest and Saint of the Slums is one of my favorites in the entire game. Here is a short recap of everything you need to do in the quest before you can Apprehend Elena:
- Bring 3 Miasmite To Elena
- Speak with Lubomir in the Gracious Hand church
- Speak to Lottie and tell Lubomir what she said about the basement sickroom
- Go to the basement sickroom at night and pick up a bottle of unlabeled medicine and a Records of Treatment document.
- Bring this evidence to Lubomir
- Speak to Bruno and Jehan by Walter’s Tavern
- Spy on Elena’s secret nighttime meeting in the Common Quarter
- Let Radcliff in Checkpoint Rest Town appraise the unlabeled medicine (he will need a day to finish)
Phew, that is a lot, especially if you don’t know where to go and what to do exactly. But it is all doable, and you can figure everything out fairly easily. What I couldn’t figure out was the last step of the quest, which asked me to “apprehend Elena”. Frankly, no idea what to do here.
The reference to Sentinels in the quest log made me think I had to notify the local guards of her wrongdoings, and they would take over from there. Ten minutes later, which I spent talking to every single guard in Vernworth, I went back to the church and figured it out: you apprehend Elena yourself by grabbing her.
Just go up to her (she will most likely be in front of the basement sickroom at this point) and press R2/RT on controller or E on keyboard. So, you first need to do a citizen’s arrest, and then she will be delivered to the guards in a cutscene.
A short scene plays out at the Vernworth Gaol, where a soldier tells you that Elena was arrested for her misdeeds, and you will have completed the quest. Congratulations!
