In A Fisher of Fish, Arthur Morgan meets Jeremy Gill, an enthusiastic and boastful fisherman. Jeremy's obsession with catching legendary fish leads Arthur on a series of fishing expeditions across the game's rivers and lakes, and begins the Legendary Fish side mission. Jeremy's exaggerated stories and the absurd lengths he will go to in pursuit of his prey make him both funny and annoying. The final twist comes when Jeremy is literally dragged underwater by the one last catfish he claims to have mastered while fishing with John - well, pride comes before a fall.

This quest is especially noteworthy for its sheer absurdity. You must collect bull testicles for the local "Testy Festy" event, an annual celebration in Hope County. The quest requires you to engage in a variety of outlandish ways to obtain the testicles, including using a special Testy Festy music track to encourage the bulls (Sexual Healing by Marvin Gaye, btw). The ridiculous nature of the task, combined with the humorous dialogue and festive atmosphere of the event, makes it one of the most memorable and laugh-out-loud funny quests in Far Cry 5.

In "The Game," the hero of Brightwall helps three eccentric game developers test their new live-action board game. The hero is magically shrunk and must complete a series of tabletop challenges. The developers, Barnaby, Montague, and Trevor, provide humorous commentary throughout, poking fun at classic RPG elements and the Hero's actions. The self-referential humor, playful jabs at gaming conventions, and quirky design of the board game world make for a delightful and entertaining experience.

"Equine Phantoms" is a whimsical quest in which Geralt, after ingesting a hallucinogenic substance given to him by a druid, begins to hear his horse Roach speak. The conversations between Geralt and Roach are filled with witty banter and humorous insights into their adventures. Roach's sarcastic and often critical remarks about Geralt's exploits and the strange world they inhabit add a unique comedic twist to the quest. The quest blends surreal elements with humor, making it a standout in The Witcher 3.

The Epsilon Program in GTA V is a parody of real-world cults, specifically Scientology. Michael De Santa is drawn into the cult, which preaches about a deity called Kraff and an entity called the Tract. After passing out, you wake up in a temple to find that they've made quite a mess. Tracing your steps, you discover that you have stolen a goat, promised to marry a Hagraven, and misplaced a staff. The quest plays out like a medieval hangover, full of bizarre encounters and comedic dialogue, culminating in the revelation that Sam is actually the Daedric Prince Sanguine, who just wanted to have some fun.

Sheogorath's quests in Oblivion, especially in the Shivering Isles expansion, are a highlight of dark humor and madness. In "Mind of Madness," you enter a world shaped by Sheogorath's madness and encounter everything from a giant walking tree to talking walls. One particularly fun quest involves convincing a paranoid town to trust you by performing increasingly ridiculous tasks, such as reversing a town-wide hunger strike by filling a man's house with cheese.

In this side-quest, Arthur Morgan meets Margaret, who claims to be a famous circus performer. Arthur soon learns that Margaret's exotic animals have escaped, and he must help recapture them. Each retrieval mission is filled with humorous dialogue and the absurdity of the situation, especially when Margaret insists on the authenticity of his "exotic" animals. The quest ends, however, with quite a surprise!

In this bizarre side quest, Kiryu finds himself in a club where grown men dress and act like babies. The surreal scene takes place in a room filled with oversized baby furniture and toys. The men, complete with diapers and bibs, are cared for by a caretaker who treats them like real babies. Kiryu's reactions range from confusion to bewilderment. The absurdity peaks when the "babies" challenge Kiryu to a fight, resulting in an over-the-top fight in baby clothes.

This quest has Henry investigating a murder with the help of a priest named Father Godwin. In order to gather information, Henry ends up drinking with the priest, which leads to a wild night of debauchery. The Quest humorously recounts the chaos of the night before, including scenes of the carousing and the aftermath. The next morning, Henry wakes up hungover and learns that he has to deliver the sermon because the priest is too drunk - well, good luck with that, may God help.
