About this gallery:

To create this list, we decided to take a look at all the games from our beloved Naruto anime franchise and rank them from worst to best. Remember, this is a subjective list! If you think we missed a masterpiece, why not mention it in the comments? | © CyberConnect2/Bandai Namco Entertainment

Cropped Naruto Path of the Ninja

15. Naruto: Path Of The Ninja (2007)

Oh, Path of the Ninja, bless your heart. This turn-based JRPG took a huge swing, but didn’t quite hit the mark. Fans appreciated the original story, but the slow-paced combat had everyone snoozing like Shikamaru. Still, points for trying something different in a world of ninja brawlers.

Cropped Naruto Clash of Ninja

14. Naruto: Clash Of Ninja

The granddaddy of Naruto fighting games! Sure, it was basic with only 10 characters, but back in 2003, we were just happy to see Naruto and Sasuke duking it out in glorious 3D. It wasn’t flashy, but it laid the foundation for what was to come. Hey, everyone starts somewhere, right?

Cropped Naruto Clash of Ninja 2

13. Naruto Clash Of Ninja 2 (2004)

The sequel came in fast and furious, adding more characters and multiplayer chaos. Fans were thrilled, even if the game was still pretty basic. The four-player mode was a great addition, but let’s be honest – it was mostly an excuse to spam Rasengan at your friends.

NARUTO X BORUTO Ultimate Ninja STORM CONNECTIONS

12. Naruto X Boruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections (2023)

Ah, the highly anticipated "new" Storm game. Or rather, Storm 4 in a new outfit. While Boruto characters and revamped mechanics were welcome, the game left fans wanting more innovation. Still, it's fun for fans who missed Storm 4 or just want to yell "Believe it!" one more time.

Cropped Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Impact

11. Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Impact (2011)

A Naruto game where you face off against armies of ninjas? Sign us up! This game had all the makings of something epic, but after a few battles, the novelty wore off. Still, it's a rare gem that showed us just how cool a Dynasty Warriors style Naruto game could be.

Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations

10. Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations (2012)

Generations brought a massive roster of characters, but with a single-player mode that felt as flat as Sakura’s first attempts at ninjutsu. The real joy here was the fighting mechanics, though – simple to pick up, but a nightmare to master. Who needs plot when you’ve got ninja mayhem?

Cropped Naruto Ultimate Ninja 4

9. Naruto: Ultimate Ninja 4 (2007)

This game introduced free-roaming around Konoha, a feature fans couldn’t stop raving about. But while running around the village was fun, the rest of the game felt like it was stuck in filler arc territory. Still, it's a nostalgic trip worth taking for die-hard Naruto fans.

Cropped Naruto Broken Bond

8. Naruto: Broken Bond (2008)

A sequel to Rise of a Ninja, Broken Bond was a solid game with a faithful adaptation of the anime. It even used the same voice actors! While the gameplay was enjoyable, it didn’t blow anyone’s mind. But hey, if you like playing through Naruto’s greatest hits, this is a great pick.

Cropped Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja 5

7. Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja 5 (2007)

Ultimate Ninja 5 took what made the previous games great and cranked it up to 11. With a beefy roster and a more open world, it was the Naruto game fans had been waiting for. It’s not perfect, but it’s the closest thing to ninja nirvana we got in the pre-Storm era.

NARUTO SHIPPUDEN Ultimate Ninja STORM Revolution

6. Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution (2014)

With 100 characters and a flashy battle royal mode, Revolution was Naruto on steroids. But it wasn’t all sunshine and shadow clones – too much fan service and a weak story kept it from being a true great. Still, where else can you fight with scantily clad ninjas in formal wear?

NARUTO TO BORUTO SHINOBI STRIKER

5. Naruto To Boruto: Shinobi Striker (2018)

Create your own ninja and beat up your friends online – what’s not to love? Shinobi Striker had a rough start with not much content, but it improved over time. Now, with DLCs and extra Jutsus, it’s a fun romp if you’re into grinding for cosmetics and kicking some ninja butt.

NARUTO SHIPPUDEN Ultimate Ninja STORM 3

4. Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 Full Burst (2013)

Full Burst took the already solid Storm 3 and made it even better with new missions, characters, and epic boss fights. If you thought Storm 3 was good, then this version is like adding ramen toppings to an already delicious bowl of noodles. It’s a must-play for fans.

NARUTO Ultimate Ninja STORM 1

3. Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm (2008)

The game that started the Storm series, Ultimate Ninja Storm, wowed fans with its beautiful 3D combat and exploration of Konoha. Sure, the combat was basic compared to future entries, but for the time, it was an absolute blast. A real “believe it!” moment for Naruto gaming.

NARUTO SHIPPUDEN Ultimate Ninja STORM 2

2. Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 (2010)

Bigger, better, and bolder, Storm 2 improved upon everything the first game did. With more characters, better combat, and a deeper story, it became the go-to game for Naruto fans. It’s the kind of sequel that made you want to yell “Dattebayo!” in excitement.

NARUTO SHIPPUDEN Ultimate Ninja STORM 4

1. Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 (2016)

The crème de la crème of Naruto games, Storm 4 delivered everything fans could want – amazing combat, stunning graphics, and a massive roster. It was the peak of Naruto gaming and left fans wondering, “How could it ever get better than this?” Spoiler alert: it didn’t.
