5. The Dota 2 International 2021: The biggest Dota 2 event was postponed for the first time last year due to the coronavirus. The community-raised prize pool of over $40 million was kept and teams in 2021 will be competing for it between August 5-15. (Credit: Valve Corporation)

3. Valorant Stage 3 Masters Berlin: After the massive success of the Valorant Stage 2 Masters Reykjavík, Riot will be hosting the next Masters event in Berlin. The top Valorant teams from around the world will gather in Germany's capital city between September 9 - 19. (Credit: Riot Games)
2. LoL Worlds 2021: The big conclusion to the League of Legends competitive season for 2021 will come later this year. An exact date is unknown but the LoL tournament of the year will have its finals on November 6. (Credit: Riot Games)

Throughout 2020, the entire esports scene was in hibernation. Due to the global pandemic and the restrictions that were imposed worldwide, LAN events ceased to exist. Numerous online tournaments took their place to fill the missing gap. Now, we're in 2021 and things are getting better with LAN events slowly making their return. Here are the top LAN events coming later this year (hopefully).
