Jinnytty had to lock herself inside her hotel room as a man tried do break in.
Travelling alone, especially as a woman and as an online personality can be very dangerous. Twitch streamer Jinnytty had to experience this danger firsthand as she was forced to lock herself inside her hotel room as man tried to break in to get to her.
Jinnytty Streams Herself Barricaded In Her Room
Yoo Yoon-jin, known online as Jinnytty, or as fans call her: Jinny, is a popular streamer with 1.1 million followers on Twitch. She often broadcasts her travels and adventures just like this time, where she set out on a mission called "Wobblethon" to travel 1500km from Poland to Romania by bike. On the night of May 13, she stayed in Rozdziele, a small village in Poland.
During this night, not long after her planned stream for the day had ended, Jinny surprisingly went live again. The screen showed a chair tucked under the handle of her hotel room door. Jinny cries quietly as slamming can be heard and a shadow can be seen in front of her door.
Her chat saw this and was immediately concerned for her safety, urging her to call police. Jinny reveals that the man outside her door had knocked for a long time and as she didn't answer, tried to break in. She also says he came just after the stream had ended and was probably a viewer.
After hesitating for a while, Jinny finally calls the police, telling them what was happening but they just instruct her to call again if he tries to enter once more. Luckily, a polish streamer named Mokrysuchar saw what was happening and promised to pick her up and take her to a different city.
While waiting for help, the terrified streamer begins to talk about her "stalker". She says:
He looked like a nice guy, he looked like a harmless guy. He knocked on the door asking if had five minutes as soon as i was done streaming, obviously he was a viewer waiting for me to be done.
About an hour goes by before police and Mokrysuchar do eventually arrive, freeing Jinny from her room.

The Stalker Was A Fan?
When Jinny was safe with Mokrysuchar, she started to share more details with her stream. As she said before, the "stalker" was probably a viewer. She had been inside the small hotel's lobby that evening, returning the key to the front door, as the man came walking quickly towards her. She asked him if he wanted to enter, which he affirmed, saying he was a guest at the hotel and asking if she was still streaming. The two had a very short chat before the man excused himself, not without inquiring if he could "catch her later" to which Jinny responded that she was busy.
The streamer guesses that the man watched her stream and waited for it to end, because he came knocking right after the broadcast had gone offline.
I was hoping that this guy also leaves, but he was trying to barge in. That’s why I started streaming. That’s why I was like, ‘Holy sh*t, I’m gonna die.'
She explains that it was the man himself, who apparently called police to say that he’d been “locked inside the hotel and couldn’t get out.” But he left before police got to Jinny.
The streamer wants to continue her travels to Romania but fans are now more concerned than ever for her safety, suggesting to maybe not travel alone anymore. The frightening incident is another reminder of the very real dangers streamers can face when sharing their location and daily lives online in real time. While Jinnytty escaped unharmed thanks to quick help from fellow creators and police, the experience has left many fans questioning how safe solo travel streaming can truly be.
