It might not be the most groundbreaking addition, but it'll be really useful for users who like to listen to long podcasts or videos. YouTube are finally introducing a sleep timer, but you need to pay.

YouTube Introduces Sleep Timer Feature For Premium Subscribers

If you're a Premium subscriber, you can turn on the sleep timer either on the desktop settings page or right in the app settings. If you select "Try experimental features" on your mobile device, you'll see the Sleep Timer option appear in the Settings menu of video players. The sleep timer lets you set a pause for videos after a certain amount of time, with options ranging from 10 to 60 minutes or until the video ends.Once you've set the timer, you'll get a notification offering the option to extend it if you need to. This feature may seem familiar compared to those offered by other apps, such as Spotify, which have incorporated similar functions. However, YouTube's introduction of a sleep timer is a welcome addition.

YouTube is planning to roll out the new sleep timer feature next month. It might become a permanent addition, which could lead to similar features being made available to non-premium users in the future.
