A blast from the past, and you can take it with you.

Back in January, Atari announced their upcoming handheld console, as they were teaming up with MyArcadeRetro to visualize the newest project. Now, the release of the Atari Gamestation Go is just around the corner and MyArcade has uploaded a new teaser with more information.
Atari's Handheld – Release And More
The handheld will be available in October and can already be pre-ordered. It is currently prized at $179.99 and will have the following features:
- 200+ video games built-in
- High resolution 7” full color display
- Integrated paddle, trak-ball and keypad
- Built in Wi-Fi for easy updates
- SmartGlow technology makes gameplay intuitive by illuminating the controls needed for each game
- Powered by a built-in rechargeable battery with 4-5 hours playtime
Games For The Console
The Gamestation Go will not just feature games from one Atari system. Instead, you will be able to play games from the Atari 2600, 5200, 7800 and even arcades. A few games have already been shown as part of their newest teaser.
- Asteroids: Recharged
- Centipede: Recharged
- Breakout: Recharged
- Berzerk: Recharged
- Missile Command: Recharged
- Pac-Man
- Balls of Steel Pinball (including 7 Pinball tables)
If you are wondering what "Recharged" means, it's basically a series of video games by Atari in the early 2020s to revive retro games. So it's new and polished versions of beloved classics. Along with the many other games and features, personally I am really hyped about this console.
What are your thoughts on the upcoming Gamestation Go? Handhelds seem to be the next big hype. Even PlayStation seems to step into that direction again. So having a fairly cheap handheld with all the classics to go might be what Atari needs to celebrate a revival.
