The new season of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is just around the corner - ready for epic battles and brand new content?
The second season of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone starts on 28 January 2025 and promises plenty of fresh content for loyal fans.
In a blog entry over 7,000 words long - yes, you didn't miscount the zeros - Activision has summarized all the updates for multiplayer, Zombies and Warzone that can be expected with Season 2.
Multiplayer: New Weapons And Operators Enhance The Gaming Experience
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 offers new content, including: five 6v6 maps such as ‘Bounty’ and "Dealership", with "Bullet" and "Grind" for mid-season.
There are also four new modes, including "Overdrive" and "Gun Game", as well as the mid-season modes "Third-Fight" and "Couples Dance-Off". Two new perks - "Slipstream" (event reward) and "Hunter's Instinct" (mid-season) - as well as the "Flyswatter" wildcard (mid-season) expand the gameplay.
The new "War Machine" scorestreak is also available as an event reward. In addition, a "Ranked Play" playlist will be introduced that reflects the Call of Duty League rules.
Warzone: New Battle Pass And Terminator Crossover
Warzone brings lots of exciting new features! In addition to a series of bug fixes and gameplay optimisations, two new perks await you: "Reactive Armor", which regenerates your armour faster, and "Low Profile", which improves your mobility when crouching or lying down. A brand new season of the ranked game is also starting and will reward you with exclusive content.
But that's not all! With the new Battle Pass, exclusive operators and skins await you, including an epic Terminator crossover. You can buy a bundle with the legendary Ultra skins "T-800" and "Titanium Core" in the store.
However, it has to be said that a time-travelling killing machine with a quasi aimbot - unless it's shooting at main characters - might be a little overpowered.
Zombies: The Tomb - A New Adventure In The Zombie Apocalypse
The Zombies mode of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 receives fresh content with the new map "The Tomb". Players embark on a search for the Guardian artefact and find themselves in cursed catacombs that protect a gateway to the Dark Aether.
There are also new perks, enemy types and a wonder weapon. Further updates such as a co-op break and improved HUD settings will follow in the course of the season.
Despite all the new features, you can expect the core gameplay to remain the same: fighting with "friends" over who buys the next door, begging for a revive because you have the best weapon, and luring hordes of zombies to run round in circles with you.
