Players Caused $70 Billion Of Damage In Battlefield 6 Beta – EA Wants You To Reach $1 Trillion For A New Skin

In the Battlefield 6 beta, players were able to destroy a hell of a lot. However, EA thinks that wasn't enough yet to warrant a reward.

The first beta phase of Battlefield 6 was a resounding success for EA and DICE. Battlefield seems to be on everyone's lips again, and one of Battlefield's special features has also received a major upgrade. In Battlefield, it has long been possible to destroy parts of the map and thus dynamically change the terrain.

In Battlefield 6, one of the features is that truly everything is destructible now. Players have apparently already caused $70 billion in damage in the first beta phase. To calculate this, EA teamed up with engineer Carlos Diemer.

In a post on X, they show the various destroyed objects and calculate the total cost. Among other things, a house worth $58,000 was shown, and many joked that they definitely wanted to buy this house at such a bargain price.

More Damage Please

On the Battlefield Destruction page, you can see both the damage already caused by players and a skin for the M60 machine gun. This skin will be unlocked once players have caused a total of $1 trillion in damage. That means the community needs to cause over 14 times more destruction!

That page also explains how you can contribute to the carnage. To do so, you need to record your gameplay and upload an unedited 30-second clip to X or Instagram. Then you need to include the hashtag #BF6Receipts and mention @battlefield in the title or video description.

There is even a destruction leaderboard, which is currently topped by a player named FresatoreITA, who first shoots down an opponent with his fighter jet and then crashes into a residential area. This caused a whopping $301,000,000 in damage.

This challenge is both a clever marketing strategy and simply a fun pastime. Above all, it gives Battlefield more attention on social media for what the game does best.
