A new Pokémon collaboration has been announced, and it is already drawing attention from fans and collectors alike.
Pokémon mixes collecting with culture, and the result feels tailor-made for longtime fans. A new collaboration with the Natural History Museum in London brings an oversized Pikachu promo card, and it is already catching the eye of collectors.
Pikachu Card You Cannot Miss
The card itself is a jumbo promo called Pikachu at the Museum. Instead of being designed for competitive play, it is clearly meant as a display piece. Pikachu is shown inside the Natural History Museum, directly tying the artwork to the crossover. This is not a card you can pull from a booster or simply buy online, which makes it feel even more special.
The promo is connected to a limited pop-up shop at the Natural History Museum, running from late January through April. Anyone who buys Pokémon merchandise there receives the oversized card as a bonus, limited to one per customer. Later on, the same card will also be available as a gift with purchase at selected UK retailers, but it still will not be sold separately.
Pokécology Brings Pokémon Into The World Of Nature
The collaboration is part of a project called Pokécology. The idea is to link Pokémon with themes like nature and how creatures adapt to their surroundings to teach kids playfully about nature. That concept fits naturally with a museum setting and gives the entire collection a more education-focused theme compared to standard Pokémon drops.
There is also a wider range of exclusive merchandise, including clothing, art prints, stationery, plushies, and accessories. A portion of these items will be available online through the museum shop and Pokémon Center UK, though availability is expected to be limited.
An important part of the crossover is that every purchase supports a good cause. All profits from Pokémon items sold through the museum, both in store and online, go toward the Natural History Museum’s charitable work. That includes funding research by hundreds of scientists who focus on understanding nature and tackling environmental challenges.
