A Star Wars superfan and modder takes on the challenge: after the disappointing Starfield DLC Shattered Space, DeityVengy plans to create his own Star Wars game within Starfield. Will this ambitious project succeed?

Starfield was envisioned as Bethesda's next flagship title.
After around 8 years of development, the sci-fi RPG was released on September 6, 2023, and fans had high expectations for the game.
However, Starfield failed to fully live up to the hype.
With slow pacing, performance issues, and at times weak dialogues and characters, Starfield became, for some in the community, more of a sluggish than thrilling space adventure.
The DLC seems to perform similarly. However, with the introduction of Star Wars mods, such as the promising Star Wars Genesis, Starfield could receive a new dimension through the modding community.

Shattered Space DLC
The DLC was released on September 30, 2024, adding a new isolated area to the game, which serves as the home of the Va'ruun faction.
The storyline delves deeper into the culture and conflicts of this mysterious group, which was only hinted at in the main game.

To start the DLC, players need to have completed the introduction mission of the main game and reached at least level 35.
The expansion currently costs around 30 USD on Steam and is included in the Premium and Constellation Editions.
Mods in Starfield?
Reactions to the Shattered Space DLC were largely negative.
Critics particularly pointed out the DLC’s short duration, with only 6-8 hours of story gameplay, the relatively high price, and recurring technical issues.
At the same time, the DLC opened new opportunities for Starfield modders. The game now offers official mod support through Bethesda's Creation Kit, which was released in June 2024.

These tools allow players to create their own mods, ranging from small tweaks to large-scale overhauls.
As with previous Bethesda games (e.g., Skyrim and Fallout 4), modders can add new quests, characters, environments, and even gameplay mechanics.

The mod is part of a larger collection called Star Wars Genesis, which integrates many familiar Star Wars elements into the game.
Key features include:
- The introduction of the Millennium Falcon and Mandalorian Armor.
- A complete overhaul of Starfield's dialogues and voice acting to tell a new story within the Star Wars universe.
- Revised sound effects and music to capture the quintessential Star Wars atmosphere.
- An original storyline that draws heavily from the lore of older Star Wars video game classics.

Va'ruun'kai becomes Korriban
The Starfield homeworld Va'ruun'kai, belonging to the Va'ruun House, has now become part of the Sith Empire and is transformed into the Star Wars planet Korriban, housing the most powerful Sith of the Empire.

In his YouTube video, creator Vengy takes us on a journey into his Star Wars adaptation, showcasing the key modifications:
For the future, Vengy plans to expand the story, add Sith temples with powerful boss fights, and introduce additional features.
„This is a Total Conversion project, meaning that every aspect of Starfield is being replaced or modified in some sort of way, to the point that one may consider this a different game.“
The modification is available on Nexus Mods and has been optimized for the latest version of Starfield.
