The first chapter of World of Warcraft's: World Soul Saga, is slowly coming to an end with its last patch. Here are all the exciting new features.
The new expansion, World of Warcraft: Midnight, is set to launch in February. On December 2, the final chapter of the current expansion, The War Within, will be released. The content update, titled The Warning, introduces several exciting new features to the game and further advances the storyline of the World Soul Saga.
Housing System For Early Access
For everyone who already laid their hands on the new expansion, exciting times are up ahead. Blizzard will open the gates for neighbourhoods and player housing with the new patch. Early-Access members will be able to learn new recipes for decorations and upgrade their houses, before the launch of Midnight.
Players who pre-ordered any version of Midnight will be able to buy their house and start customizing it until the new expansion arrives in February. Various tutorials for new and returning players have been added to explain how to buy a house, decorate it and join a neighbourhood.
Neighbourhoods will be divided into two categories: Public and Guild. Everyone will be able to join a public one while guilds can create their own unique neighbourhood. To do so, the guild needs at least ten members who have been active the past 30 days.
Everyone who doesn't have Early-Access will be able to collect multiple housing decorations throughout various activities, vendors and achievements. Those players will be able to use everything from their already gathered housing-hoard.
"The Warning" Will Not Be An Epilogue, But The Prologue For Midnight
The new campaign quest "Vision of a Shadowed Sun" will conclude the storyline from the War Within, while directly leading towards the new expansion. Within World of Warcraft the last patch usually means Story A ends and Story B begins with the pre-patch. This time, the approach is different.
With Midnight being an expansion that plays heavily around the history of the elves, it is no wonder that the campaign quest evolves around the Windrunner-Sisters and Arator. With Quel'Thalas being in immediate danger, we will finally see a family reunion while the events from the campaign quest will set the first steps towards the events that will be happening in Midnight.
To help players understand the circumstances and backstory of the elves a bit better, Blizzard will introduce the Lorewalking event: The Elves of Quel'Thalas. Players will be able to experience the origin of the Blood and Void Elves first hand, starting out with a thrilling retelling of the Scourge attack on Silvermoon and the Lich King's assault on the Sunwell.
New Player Experience Will Already Debut With This Patch
The player experience on the Forsaken Isle has already been completely rebuilt and will be available with this patch. The questline will tie more directly into the Dragon Flight expansion, where players will be able to experience the whole storyline (raids included).
Returning players will get some assistance with cleaning up their quest log, so creating a new character isn't the easy option anymore. A short version of the War Within will also be available to get everyone up to speed. You can find out more about the new feature in our latest update for World of Warcraft: Midnight.
Turbulent Timeways: Shadowlands Will Be In The Rotation
For ten weeks, players will be able to jump into various different time-walking dungeons across the past expansions. The reward for the weekly quests has been upgraded: Players will be able to grab a total of ten pieces of heroic gear when completing the quests every week.
To get even the last Alt-character to max-level, the Timewalking-event will grant you a stackable five percent XP-boost that can be maxed out to 30 percent.
Players who complete the Master of Turbulent Timeways achievement will be rewarded with the Bronze Gravewing mount.
Return To The Brawler's Guild, Horrific Visions Update And Changes To Skyriding
Patch 11.2.7 will reintroduce the Brawler's Guild where players can fight a variety of different bosses while climbing the ranks. Blizzard announced some changes to the boss rotation as well as some additional improvements to the event.
Players will now be able to queue for either Orgrimmar or Stormwind within the horrific visions, so they won't be bound to weekly rotations.
Lastly Skyriding has been updated with the biggest change being Take Off. Starting with the new patch, the ability will be free to use. Vigor has been removed as well.
As you can tell, there is a lot to do until Midnight finally launches with this content-packed patch. Hopefully this will ease the pain of waiting until we can jump right into a new adventure!
