With Riot Games dismissing over 500 employees, there are some bad news for Riot Forge.
Riot Forge was this cool thing from Riot Games where they shared their game ideas with smaller studios. It was like Riot Games teaming up with creative folks worldwide to bring more awesome games from the League of Legends universe to us players.
Riot Forge gave us some amazing games, like:
- CONV/RGENCE
- Hextech Mayhem
- The Mageseeker
- The Ruined King
- Song of Nunu
Now, the next and unfortunately the last game from Riot Forge will be Bandle Tale.
Riot Forge Will Be Shutting Down
Riot dropped a bombshell – they're letting go of 530 of their employees, which is about 11% of their global workforce. With this comes some changes, most notably the shutdown of Riot Forge. A tweet from the community member Spideraxe shared part of Riot's official statement.

Riot called Riot Forge, an experiment where their team joined forces with indie devs to give a unique spin to the Runeterra universe. They're proud of what Forge achieved but want to focus on other big projects at Riot Games.
The Riot Forge games were some of the best stuff we got outside the League of Legends game, always packed with cool lore. It's genuinely sad to see the publisher go.
