In a recent development update, the game director, Miles Jacobson, had some bad news. Especially for fans of the international management mode.

Announcement Got Delayed

The development update had some pretty bad news for the upcoming Football Manager. The first sad news is that the announcement has been delayed to late November instead of the usual early November slot.

The gameplay focus period, which takes place shortly after the announcement, has also been pushed back.

How and if this has an impact on the release of the game is unknown. But if this means we are getting fewer bugs on release, then so be it.

International Management Mode Is Canceled

Miles Jacobson also announced in the update that due to challenges in the development process, the studio decided to cancel the international management mode.

The main argument is that they don't want to delay the game further and because the mode was played by only 5.6% of the (PC) players, they decided to cancel this mode.

To calm the fans down, they wrote that parts of this mode "will continue to exist... As part of the wider simulation of world football."

How do you fell about this cancellation? Did you like the mode?
