The Best BAS-P Warzone 2 Loadout | A Solid SMG

The BAS-P was the first post-launch SMG in Warzone 2, and it's fine. It's definitely not the hard meta, but it's still viable. We think it will be buffed soon, but until then, here is the best loadout for the BAS-P in Warzone.

Thanks to the arrival of the new Ashika island map, and Resurgence, SMGs are getting a lot more attention. Now, the BAS-P isn't the best SMG, it's fairly average, but we're convinced it's going to get a series of buffs soon.

The BAS-P was our first post-launch SMG, but it was released during the Fennec meta, so it didn't get any attention at the time. Since then, we've had two new ARs and a new shotgun, but the BAS-P remains the most recently released SMG.

They always like to buff new weapons, even if they don't do it immediately, and the BAS-P is one of the few SMGs left that hasn't dominated the meta so far. Additionally, and I know this will sound like a conspiracy theory, the BAS-P currently appears in multiple new store bundles. Most notable it is included in one of the first Tracer Pack bundles in Warzone 2, Tracer Pack Shinobi.

Even if it doesn't get the buffs, the BAS-P has okay numbers, and it's a fairly low-recoil / comfortable SMG, so it's fun to use. You can find the best BAS-P loadout below.

The normal rules for building an SMG in Warzone apply. We need at least 40+ rounds in the magazine, and as much extra movement and strafe speed as we can get. Aiming stability is a non-issue, as we're only going to be using this SMG within 20 m ideally. But we have taken the muzzle break to get a little extra recoil control.

All of the above attachments should give us a very fun and more than viable SMG. If you don't like running lasers then we would suggest using the Slimline Pro optic instead of the VLK LZR 7MW.

The Best BAS-P Loadout For Warzone 2: Secondary, Perks & Equipment

Secondary: Lachmann 556

Warzone 2 Season 1 Meta Long Range AR Lachmann 556

We highly recommend taking a long-range option alongside such a short-ranged weapon like the BAS-P, and a very stable and easy to use option right now is the Lachmann 556. Now the build pictured above is slow, like LMG slow, but it is also a laser, and has by far the lowest recoil of any AR build we've seen. Also, the damage dropoff over range is very forgiving with the Lachmann, so you should be able to down and thirst a couple of enemies with a single mag dump.

Perks (Base, Bonus & Ultimate)

These are our favorite perks right now:

Base Perk

Overkill / Bomb Squad

Bonus PerkResupply
Ultimate Perk

High Alert

Perk Packages are dead, we can pick what we want again! And for this loadout we chose Overkill because we need both weapons, Bomb Squad to eat a few more claymores and nades, Resupply to never run out Smoke grenades, and High Alert to avoid being snuck up on.

Equipment (Lethal, Tactical)

This is the equipment of our choice:

LethalSemtex
TacticalSmokes

Semtex are easy to use and strong against infantry, riot shields and even vehicles. We've also taken Smoke grenades, which come in clutch when we just want to avoid the fight.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, was our recommendation for the best loadout to use with the BAS-P. We hope you found it useful, although please remember what we said before: the BAS-P isn't a "meta weapon".
