The Best BAS-P Warzone 2.0 Loadout | A Solid SMG

The BAS-P was our Season 1 SMG in Warzone 2.0, and it's fine. It's definitely not the hard meta, but it's also not bad and still viable. Very much a "middle of the road" SMG. But you will want to level it for attachments anyway, and so here is the best loadout for the BAS-P in Warzone.

The new Warzone map, Al Mazrah, is insanely large. It feels as big as an actual city at times. Now that might make you think that we don't need SMG, but thankfully we can carry three weapons in Warzone 2.0. So it's actually worth having something for super close-range engagements, even if those fights aren't as common.

The BAS-P isn't one of the best SMGs, but it's also not the worst. And with a few attachments we can definitely make it viable. Here's the best setup for the BAS-P for you.

The same normal rules for building an SMG in Warzone apply. We need at least 40+ rounds in the magazine, and as much extra movement and strafe speed as we can get. Recoil control and aiming stability are a non-issue, as we're only going to be using this SMG within 20 m ideally.

All of the above attachments should give us a very fun and more than viable SMG. If you don't like running lasers then we would suggest using the Slimline Pro optic instead of the VLK LZR 7MW.

The Best BAS-P Loadout For Warzone 2: Secondary, Perks & Equipment

Secondary: Lachmann 556

We highly recommend taking a long-range option alongside such a short-ranged weapon like the BAS-P, and there are few better options right now than the Lachmann 556. Now this build pictured above is slow, like LMG slow, but it is also a laser, and has by far the lowest recoil of any AR build we've seen. Also, the damage dropoff over range is very forgiving with the Lachmann, so you should be able to down and thirst a couple of enemies with a single mag dump.

Perks (Base, Bonus & Ultimate)

Since we can no longer choose our own perks in Warzone 2.0, we have to choose one of the pre-made "Perk Packages".

Perk PackageWeapon Specialist

Base Perk

Overkill / Strongarm

Bonus PerkSpotter
Ultimate Perk

Yuck! Perk Packages force us to use stuff like Strongarm, Spotter and Survivor. They aren't the worst perks in the game, but we would never normally pick them. Still, that's the price of Overkill.

Equipment (Lethal, Tactical)

This is the equipment of our choice:

TacticalSnapshot Grenades

Semtex are easy to use and strong against infantry, riot shields and even vehicles. We've also taken Snapshot Grenades, which are especially useful when we have an SMG for aggressive play. Using a Snapshot before a push can put your whole team at a huge advantage.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, was our recommendation for the best loadout to use with the BAS-P. We hope you found it useful, although please remember what we said before: the BAS-P isn't a "meta weapon". If you're only looking for truly meta weapons, then you want this article on the best weapons in Warzone 2.0.
