One of the absolute best mid and long-range options in the game right now is the RAAL MG. This is a slow and sluggish LMG, but it has low-recoil and ridiculous damage output. Here's the current meta attachment setup.

The RAAL is hugely popular, because although it's slow, you aren't as punished in Warzone 2 for that. And in exchange for being slow, the RAAL offers some of the strongest TTK in the entire game, as well as recoil controllable enough to dominate the mid-range. We wouldn't say it's the best for very long-range, but the majority of fights happen in mid-range, so this is absolutely an S-Tier weapon and a part of the meta.

The Best Attachment Setup For The RAAL MG In Warzone 2

Slot | Attachment | Unlock Requirements | Attachment Tuning |
Muzzle | Talon Sixteen | Lockwood MK2 to Level 2 | Recoil Smoothness (+1.00 oz) / Bullet Velocity (+0.65 in) |
Optic | Slimline Pro | Lachmann-762 to Level 13 → Lachmann-556 to Level 12 → Lachmann Sub to Level 11 | Default |
Rear Grip | Stip-40 Grip | STB 556 to Level 10 | Recoil Steadiness (+0.70 oz) / Aiming Idle Stability (+0.30 in) |
Magazine | 50 Round Belt Mag | RAAL MG to Level 24 | Default |
Underbarrel | SA Side Grip | RAAL MG to Level 19 | Recoil Stabilization (+0.55 oz) / Aiming Idle Stability (+0.30 in) |
Absolutely everything here is focused on recoil control and bullet velocity, so that we can extend the effective range of the RAAL out to as far as possible. The only choice we've made in favor of mobility and handling is choosing the 50 round magazine over the default. But the only downside to this is that we're restricted to 50-rounds, which is more than enough though. So the tradeoff is a no-brainer.

The Best Loadout For The RAAL MG: Secondary, Perks & Equipment
Secondary: X12
We're going to be a little risky here and suggest you can use the RAAL as a primary, because as we said earlier, this weapon can absolutely dominate the mid-range. For a secondary we can therefore pick up a sidearm for emergencies. We think the X12 is probably the best pistol for panicked, close-range situations. If you don't trust your trigger-finger go with the X13 and a 50-round mag.

Perks (Base, Bonus & Ultimate)
Yep, it's boring to suggest once again, but this is the meta Perk Package:
Perk Package | Specter Package |
Base Perk | Double Time / Tracker |
Bonus Perk | Spotter |
Ultimate Perk | Ghost |
UAVs are just so clutch in this game, and Ghost works even when you're not moving, so we have to try and get it. The other perks in this perk package aren't the absolute best, but Double Time and Tracker are useful enough.
Equipment (Lethal & Tactical)
If you're looking for strong and easy-to-use equipment, look no further:
Lethal | Semtex |
Tactical | Flash |
We took Flash grenades over Stims in this loadout because we don't think you're going to be making fast, aggressive plays with an LMG. Also, Flash grenades are super strong in this game. And then alongside our tactical, we've chosen Semtex because it's strong against infantry and vehicles alike.
