Call of Duty: Vanguard launched with a ton of multiplayer maps, and we get even more added to the game on a very regular cycle. In this article, we're going to go over the new multiplayer maps; how big they are, how they're designed and where they're set, and then we're going to introduce the next maps coming to Vanguard.

Season 4: USS Texas
With Season 4 we get the return of an old classic on-launch: the USS Texas. Okay, it's not a classic. In fact, it's widely considered a pretty bad map, so we aren't sure why it was remastered ahead of London Docks...but anyway, here's how it's described by the devs:
USS Texas 1945 challenges Operators to fight it out on an offshore battleship designed for tense long-range engagements on starboard and port and plenty of close-quarters action amidst its many confined interior locations. Set up on a power point and do your worst.
A reimagining of the U.S.S. Texas map from Call of Duty®: WWII, this is a a medium-sized map that's moved from the white Cliffs of Dover to the waters around Caldera.
Season 4 Reloaded Map: Desolation
The second map, Desolation, will be going live with Season 4 Reloaded in July. It's a small map that takes place in a dense village. This is how it is described in the Season 4 Roadmap:
Deploy to a Pacific listening post in this small-to-medium sized map set in a dense village littered with destruction. Large mountains and a vast landscape engulf the environment as you battle around the central building and along its creekside fortifications.
How Many Maps Are There In Vanguard?
There are currently 23 6vs6 maps, 4 gunfight-sized maps and 1 big Arms Race Map. The gunfight maps are played in Vanguards new small-team mode called Champion Hill, the Arms Race map is only available in said game mode. While the other 23 maps are used for the traditional Call of Duty multiplayer modes.
What Are The Next Maps Coming To Vanguard?
The next new maps will be released with Season 5 sometime in August, and we don't have any information about them yet. Of course, we will keep you updated as soon as we find out more.
That was your overview on the new Vanguard multiplayer maps, and the next maps they've got planned. It's quite a decent flow of content, you have to admit. But we're no less hoping for a few more CoD: WaW remasters before the release of Modern Warfare 2.
