A madhouse full of really aggressive zombies, what could be better? It's definitely one of the scariest maps in the franchise, which is actually good, but the map is just way too big. There's no real gameplay flow, and it's not really playable solo. It's a pity, the map would have had more potential. | © Activision
WW2 had some really cool zombie designs, but the maps didn't really stand out from the crowd. Darkest Shore was just a foggy soup, which added to the creepiness, but was also really annoying. On top of that, the bosses on the map were just unfair, hard and frustrating. | © Activision
Exo Zombies was a bit strange anyway. I mean: Zombies with exoskeleton suits... well. Most maps were pretty forgettable, but Infection was just hell. The gas and decontamination zones ruined the flow of the game and the survivors you had to protect all the time were pretty annoying too.... | © Activision
This map was sheer chaos. The Perk-a-Cola and Pack-a-Punch machines always spawned completely randomly, and the layout of the map wasn't ideal either. Nuketown Zombies proved to be frustrating as hell and entirely unpredictable. Just not a good map. | © Activision
Tranzit has long been considered probably the worst zombies map ever. Why the hell are you traveling from one small map to the next on a bus? The bus forces us into a completely new and very frustrating style of play, which is simply no fun. The map has a lot more problems, though, which is why we'll just leave it here at #1. | © Activision
Why "Der Anfang" is listed here as a bonus? Quite simply, the whole Zombies mode in Vanguard was kinda crap. There were no turn-based maps, only one big hub map with portals to individual challenges and those were super repetitive. The big open-world-like Zombies maps in BOCW and MW3 are way better. | © Activision
Zombies have become as much a part of Call of Duty as weapon camos and crazy operators. If you don't feel like playing multiplayer, you can pass the time by shooting a few zombies in the head. Of course, the Easter Eggs and miracle weapons are a special incentive to spend time in this mode.
However, besides a lot of excellent zombies maps, there were unfortunately a few that would have been better never developed. So, what are the worst Call of Duty zombies maps of all time?
