Would you ever like to write music for video games? What would it be like?

I'd absolutely love to. When I am composing I often have a clear visual in my head, whether this is abstract or an exact moment in my life; I feel I would be able to make music for video games in a similar capacity (although you have the imagery to work with directly). As an electronic artist my music would work with any sci-fi or adventure game or FPS.

How important is music for video games / video games for music?

It's essential. I know this because when a game completely cuts the music to build suspense you recognize the lack of music, therefore its presence must be respected in the same way. Resident Evil also do this perfectly. Drop music in and out to build tension.
