The Batman has been making waves with its darker take on the caped crusader. But when can we expect The Batman Part 2 to release in theaters?

The Joker proved that DC stories and characters work really well in dark and more realistic settings. The Batman followed up on that idea with a lot of success, resulting in The Batman being confirmed for a sequel. But when will The Batman Part 2 release?
As the movie released quite some time ago, here is a quick recap. The Batman explores a darker and grittier version of the iconic DC character. Pattinson portrays a young Bruce Wayne/Batman, who is still early in his crime-fighting career.

The movie delves into Batman's detective skills as he investigates a series of brutal murders in Gotham City, ultimately unraveling a sinister conspiracy with a fresh take on the character and a compelling storyline.
The Batman Part 2: Confirmed Release Date
The Batman Part 2 will be released on October 3, 2025. Filming is supposed to start in November 2023, but so far this info hasn't been officially confirmed.
With this, the sequel is still quite some time down the line, but don't worry it'll be worth it as it will be part of the DC Elseworlds, along with Joaquin Phoenix's Joker movies.

Don't expect any crazy crossovers any time soon, though, it is still separate from the main timeline.
Which Cast Members Will Return For The Batman Part 2?
So far, we only have two confirmed members of the first movie that will make their return for The Batman Part 2.
First off, there is obviously Robert Pattinson, who will enact vengeance on the poor fools of Gotham that decide to make a little extra money on the side by doing gangster stuff.
We also know that Matt Reeves will return to deliver a (probably) awesome script and direct the movie.
Besides that, we don't have any more confirmed cast members, but we sure hope that we will be able to witness the greatness of Jeffrey Wright (Inspector Gordon), Zoë Kravitz (Catwoman) and Andy Zerkis (Alfred) once more.

Looking at the possible antagonists for The Batman Part 2, we imagine Barry Keoghan will have his chance to shine as The Joker, possibly becoming the key villain in The Batman 2. Other than that, there isn't really much else we can say.
The Batman Part 2: Everything We Know Regarding The Plot
So, let's dive into the possibilities of The Batman 2.
Spoiler!

Picture this: The Riddler and The Joker find themselves behind bars, but Gotham City is in desperate need of rebuilding after The Riddler's followers wreak havoc.
- If you don't just want to watch Batman beat the ever living shit out of some poor goon, you can get some fighting done yourself with the new Street Fighter VI
It wouldn't be far-fetched to expect Robin to make an appearance in the sequel, right? And of course, there's a high chance that The Joker might find his way out of prison somehow.
Imagine a scenario in which all the imprisoned villains break free from Arkham and create chaos throughout the city.
This sets the stage for epic showdowns between Batman and a variety of classic foes.
It could be reminiscent of the awesomeness we experienced in Batman Arkham Origins. As for other details about The Batman 2, we're eagerly awaiting more information and will keep you updated as soon as we know more. Stay tuned.
