Finally, some more news on the coming Joker movie. It feels like ages, since we got the news of Lady Gaga joining the cast on August 4th. Now we finally have another actor joining the crew, and a former Hogwarts professor nonetheless.

If you want to be a student at Hogwarts though, this game is for you:

I'm talking about Brendan Gleeson, who we all know as former auror and professor Alastor Moody in the goblet of fire. Gleeson has his fair share of iconic roles he played. He played in some big ass movies, like Kingdom of Heaven, Braveheart, Gangs of New York and, as you already know by now, Harry Potter.

His portrayal of Walter ‚Monk‘ McGinn in gangs of New York might just be perfect for the new Joker Movie. I can't wait to find out, what character he will play. I am pretty sure, though, it will be a villain. In his filmography, he definitely proofs that he got what it takes to play a charismatic villain.

Here are some more great Villains for you:

When it comes to movies that I desperately want a sequel for, Joker easily tops the list. In 2019 Joaquin Phoenix portrayed the mental breakdown of what we know as the Joker, in a manner that can only be described as bone chilling.

Now that he has lost his grip on reality, I can't wait for the insanity that is waiting for us in Joker 2! The sequel looks promising, as Todd Phillips and Scott Silver will be returning as director and co-writer.

The release date and title have already been published by Phillips via Instagram, where he posted a scan of the movie's script.

With this, Phillips confirmed the title of the movie being Joker: Folie à Deux. The title roughly translates to "Madness for two", which makes me hyped for double the insanity we witnessed in the first Joker. It also is a fun wordplay, as it is the second movie and all. Cheesy, but not too on the nose, I'd say.

As of now, Phillips made another post, revealing the main cast, as well as the release date. As we were already aware, Joaquin Phoenix will return for what I am sure will be another iconic performance as the Joker. He will be joined by none other than Lady Gaga.

This got me pumped! Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn was something I didn't know I needed in my life. I love Margot Robbie's portrayal of the character, but I doubt it would fit with the more gritty style of Todd Phillips. Gaga proved that she can perform and with the directions of Phillips and Joaquin Phoenix as a co-star helping her get into character, I am sure she will be absolutely mental! Let's just hope she won't go full Jared Leto.

And I mean, look at that teaser! It's got everything! The art style, the music, the way the two are portrayed together! 2024 can't come soon enough.
