The new Fortnite week 3 missions are here, and one of them asks you to use an Ascender at Chonker's Speedway and Command Cavern. We'll show you what that is and where to find it.
In one of the Fortnite Build Zero: Trials & Free Rewards seasonal quests, you must use an Ascender at Chonker's Speedway and Command Cavern. But what is this thing supposed to be, and where exactly can you find it? Allow us to help!
What Is An Ascender In Fortnite
An Ascender is a vertical cable car that lets you climb up and down from the bottom of Fortnite Island to the IO airships or Ferls Formations. Ascenders started appearing all over the Fortnite map at the start of the new season, but to complete the challenge you need to go to two very specific locations.
Ascender At Chonker's Speedway
The Ascender at Chonker's Speedway can be found on the rock formation on the northwest side of the road.
To complete the quest, all you have to do is approach the cable car and press the interact button to get to the top of the hill. Then it's off to the next location.
Ascender At Command Cavern
The Command Cavern Ascender is located in the center of the IO airship. Again, all you have to do is interact with it to fly up the cable car.
Alternatively, you can of course land on the airship and choose the way down via the cable car. Once you've used two Ascenders, you'll earn 20,000 XP towards your Battle Pass.
However, be careful not to encounter the bots lurking on the airships during your mission. They are hostile to you and will definitely attack you. It pays to have a few guns handy...
