Two new contenders have stepped into the ring. Street Fighter's iconic stars Blanka and Sakura are coming to Fortnite, and there's a competition to celebrate!
Street Fighter characters Ryu, Chun-Li, Cammy and Guile have already joined Fortnite, but now they have company. Boxing legends Blanka and Sakura enter the ring - I mean, the item shop on April 29th at 09:00 ET (14:00 BST / 15:00 CEST). But before that, you can prove your skills in the Blanka & Sakura Cup, and show that you're worthy to wield these champions!
Blanka & Sakura Cup Prize
Two versions of the Blanka & Sakura Cup await you! The first version will take place on April 27, and will be a zero build solo tournament for mobile only. The second version will then take place on April 28 and will be a "battle royale" solo tournament for all platforms. In both versions, the top 25% of players in each region will unlock the bonus level loading screen.
To join any of the tournaments, simply select the relevant cup from the in-game Fortnite Competitive tab at the start of the match and queue up.
Blanka & Sakura Cup Mobile
The first Blanka & Sakura Cup will take place on April 27, and is exclusive to Android devices. All players can participate in up to 10 matches in their region's three-hour window.
Blanka & Sakura Cup All Platforms
The second Blanka & Sakura Cup will take place in Fortnite on April 28, and participation is open to players on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, PC and Android platforms. Players can participate in up to 10 matches in their region's three-hour window.
The distribution of points is the same for both cups. You get one point for each elimination. The placement points look like this:
- 1st place: 25 points
- 2nd place: 22 points
- 3rd place: 20 points
- 4th place: 18 points
- 5th place: 17 points
- 6th place: 16 points
- 7th place: 15 points
- 8th place: 14 points
- 9th place: 13 points
- 10th place: 12 points
- 11th place: 11 points
- 12th place: 10 points
- 13th place: 9 points
- 14th place: 8 points
- 15th place: 7 points
- 16th place: 6 points
- 17th place: 5 points
- 18th – 19th places: 4 points
- 20th – 21st place: 3 points
- 22nd – 23rd places: 2 points
- 24th – 25th places: 1 point
