Community creator Chica is joining the Fortnite Icon Series. Here's what you need to know.
With Fortnite Patch 20.10, the news that Chica might be coming to Fortnite's Icon Series was leaked for the first time. Now, it's official! After Loserfruit, Chica will be only the second streamer to get this profound honor. Let's take a look.
When is the Chica Icon Series Release Date?
Chica's icon series set will be available in the Item Store from May 8, 2022 at 02:00 CEST / 20:00 ET. You can, however, also get her skin and back accessory for free by participating in the Chica Cup and being one of the best players in your region.
Chica Cup Format
The Chica Cup will take place on Thursday, May 5 at about 19:00 CEST / 13:00 ET. It is a duos tournament played in Fortnite's new "Zero Build" mode. You and a mate can play up to ten matches within a three-hour time-span.
So what does that mean? Well go and grab yourself a god-darn mate, get practicing, and jump in. It's legitimately about to start!
Chica Cup Registration
To participate in the Chica Cup, you and your mate must be in a lobby together. Simply select the Chica Cup in the Fortnite Competitions tab at the start of the tournament and join the queue. Players must have two-factor authentication enabled and verified for their Epic account and have reached at least account level 50 to participate.
Chica Cup Point Distribution
For each elimination, you and your mate will receive a single point. Placement points look like this:
- 1st Place / Epic Victory: 25 Points
- 2nd Place: 22 Points
- 3rd Place: 20 Points
- 4th Place: 18 Points
- 5th Place: 17 Points
- 6th Place: 16 Points
- 7th Place: 15 Points
- 8th Place: 14 Points
- 9th Place: 13 Points
- 10th Place: 12 Points
- 11th Place: 11 Points
- 12th Place: 10 Points
- 13th Place: 9 Points
- 14th Place: 8 Points
- 15th Place: 7 Points
- 16th Place: 6 Points
- 17th Place: 5 Points
- 18th to 19th Place: 4 Points
- 20th to 21st Place: 3 Points
- 22nd to 23rd Place: 2 Points
- 24th to 25th Place: 1 Point

Chica Cup Price
The best players in each region can win the outfit "Chica" and the back accessory "Chica's star". In addition, all players who scored at least 8 points will also receive the "Chica was Here" Spray Paint.
Here's who will win in the most important regions:
- Europe: The best 1800 players will receive the prizes.
- North America (East): The best 1300 players will receive the prizes.
- North America (West): The best 500 players will receive the prizes.
- Brazil: The best 750 players will receive the prizes.
Free Twitch Drop
Also, you can unlock the "Pollito" Spray Painting by simply watching your favorite Fortnite Streamer! To do so, all you have to do is watch a total of one hour of Fortnite streamers on Twitch between May 6 at 16:00 CEST / 10:00 ET and May 8 at 16:00 CEST / 10:00 ET. Make sure that your Epic Games and Twitch accounts are linked so that you can pick up the Twitch drop.
