Fortnite Season 8 has brought a lot of new and exciting content like the Sideways Encounters to Fortnite. But Chapter 2, Season 8 is slowly coming to an end and Season 9 or maybe even Chapter 3 is just around the corner!
But before we prepare for the end of the season, someone comes to the island that we have all waited so long for. With Fortnite Patch 18.40 and thus also with the last patch of this season, Naruto finally comes to Fortnite!
The Fortnite Update 18.40 releases at the same time as Fortnite servers will be down (November 16th).
The Downtime will start at 10 AM on November 16th (CET). It is unknown how long the servers will be down, but the servers usually come back online around 11:30 AM (let's see how long it takes this time). So all you have to do is hold out a little longer until you can dive into the battle royale again and finally play our beloved ninja hero!
Fortnite 18.40 Patch Notes
With each patch, new things come to Fortnite Island. But Patch 18.40 has a lot more to it than "just" Naruto.
Naruto Comes To Fortnite
Well, at this time it's no longer a secret. Yes, Naruto is coming to Fortnite with the new patch. But that was not even everything. The whole Team 7 will join Naruto as well, i.e. Kakashi, Sakura and Sasuke! In addition, the creative mode will be upgraded by some sweet Konoha themed settings and of course there are also some new cool creative objects such as ramen or ninja scrolls!
New Fortnite Crew Style The First Shadows
Those who bought the Crew Pack for September, October and November will receive their exclusive bonus styles after the v18.40 update. Fortnite officially announced this in the last Crew Paket blog post:
"As a November extra, subscribed players who’ve assembled all three of The First Shadows will receive a bonus Style for each.".
Mechs Return To Deal Some Damage
Unfortunately, we have some bad news for you... If you've played Fortnite Season X, you'll remember the B.R.U.T.E.-Mechs. These beefy robots were probably more hated than any other feature that has ever been on the island. But Fortnite decided to bring them back to the island. At least Epic Games has been fine-tuning the code for the mechs throughout the season and even added a new design for them to Fortnite's files.
Since there is only one update for Season 8, it is either now or never... Or they will be added in Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 9 or Chapter 3. We'll probably find out soon.
Otherwise, as with every patch, there will be some bug fixes. If you're interested, you can check it out on Fortnite's official Trello board.
