According to a data miner, Assassin's Creed Mirage could very well be delayed. Let's take a look at the latest rumors.
Assassin's Creed Mirage was announced in September 2022 and the first trailer looked really good. The trailer not only showed the new setting and some awesome Assassin's Creed action, but also stated the game would release in 2023. According to a data miner, that could have changed already, though.
We don't know much about AC Mirage yet, but we do know that Ubisoft has been dealing with a lot of issues lately...
- Depending on when Assassin's Creed Mirage will be released, maybe Skull and Bones will actually arrive before that.
Assassin's Creed Mirage and The Crew 3 Delayed
According to a data miner, Assassin's Creed Mirage and The Crew 3, also known as Project Orlando, will likely be delayed.
Mirage + Orlando -> Likely Delayed— Script (@ScriptLeaksR6) March 27, 2023
Mirage still runs on "old" Assassin's Creed engine.
We don't have much more to go off of, but since it has been absolutely quiet around AC Mirage after the announcement in September and Ubisoft already postponed several other games in the meantime, a delay wouldn't be too surprising. The other comment in the tweet, about AC Mirage running on an "old" engine, is actually nothing new. Since AC Mirage was originally planned as DLC content for Valhalla, it will run on that same engine.
According to first rumors, AC Mirage was supposed to be released in summer of 2023, so a delay would most probably push the game to 2024. However, we should see first gameplay at Ubisoft Forward on June 12 and maybe even get some official news on the release.
Obviously, you should take that info with a grain of salt, since there hasn't been any official statement from Ubisoft yet. As soon as we have more news on Assassin's Creed Mirage and a concrete release date, we will let you know.
