We're extremely excited for Bayonetta 3. Since its initial announcement in 2017, which was a devastating 5 (!) years ago, there has been almost complete radio silence around the next entry in the action adventure series by legendary developers Platinum Games, makers of masterpieces such as Nier: Automata and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.

Recently, we finally got the release date for Bayonetta 3 and people are excited. Well, some people... PlayStation & Xbox players will be disappointed: The latest title in the long-running action series will be released exclusively on Nintendo Switch.

Bayonetta 3 Will Blow Away (Some) Fans This Year

On October 28, Bayonetta 3 will arrive for Nintendo Switch, and it's ready to blow away the minds of many gamers. The series is known for its full-on action and bonkers narrative, all about angels and devils fighting against the titular witch who uses her hair for magic attacks. And yes, I do love it. The series is among the best in the action genre. Unfortunately, a lot of players won't get to enjoy the high-octane engine. Xbox and PlayStation players will surely be disappointed.

It's a shame that the series is currently tied to the Nintendo Switch. It makes sense since Bayonetta 2 was also Nintendo-exclusive. Back then, that was on the Wii U, which is even worse than the Switch in terms of hardware. You can already tell in trailers that the resolution isn't great and that the frame rate could be a bit smoother as well. While the very first Bayonetta has been available on all consoles as well as PC, this seems a far-flung dream for its sequels.

However, owners of a Nintendo Switch (and there are a lot of them out there), can look forward to an exciting and exhilarating action game. Platinum and Nintendo have recently revealed a big new trailer, showing off new features like new special moves and a new playable character. Check out the trailer here:
