If you want to get the most out of your heroes in Marvel's Midnight Suns, gifts, hangouts and havens will help you to increase your friendship level with each member of your team. In this guide, we will show you how these mechanics work and what the best ways are, to increase your friendship with each hero in the game.

A big part of Marvel's Midnight Suns is about hanging out with all the superheroes in your team. You can raise the friendship level with every member of your illustrious team, which offers "powerful" rewards for you and your superhero buddies. These include skins, passives, abilities and even upgrades for the Abbey. You will also need to max out the friendship level for each hero to unlock their legendary Midnight Suns outfit and special ability.
So it's really worth being nice to Nico, Captain Marvel, Iron Man, Spider-Man, and all the other heroes in tights. In order to do this, you should take different heroes to missions with you, as that will give them friendship XP. But the ultimate boosts to your friendship are the right gifts and hangouts for the right person.
Marvel's Midnight Suns: Gifts, Hangouts & Havens Explained
Every hero in Midnight Suns has different tastes, and those affect how many friendship points you get for gifts and activities. So you can't just go stargazing with Blade and give him a coloring book, you won't get very far with that.

To know the best ways to increase your friendships, we will show you everything you need to know about gifts, hangouts and havens and which hero has which interests and tastes.
The Perfect Gifts For Each Hero
In Midnight Suns, gifts are small items that you can give to one of your teammates at the end of a hangout. These can be books, snacks, candles, anything really. The key here is, that giving the right gift to the right person gives a massive boost to your friendship XP.
This applies to certain types of gifts. A lighthearted person like Spider-Man will look at you sideways, if you give him a skull or goblet. A brooding downer like Magik will love those things though. The right match between person and gift is especially important for legendary gifts, which will make you new best friends in no time.
Here's a list of every Midnight Suns character and the perfect gifts for them:

How To Get Gifts
You of course need to find these amazing gifts first. There are two ways to get new gifts in the game. The first one is to literally just pick them up while exploring the Abbey. Some things will lie around in the main building or the yard, but others are spread around in the big grounds, which you can explore between missions.
The other way is to buy gifts at the gift shop. You unlock it by increasing your overall team friendship level to level 2. Every day you will get a new selection of gifts, which you can buy with Gloss. Subsequent level ups will increase the quality of gifts.
Best Hangouts & Havens
After most missions, you're asked to hang out with a hero of your choice. They don't love every activity equally though, so you should check which ones are available for the heroes and which are the best ones for them.
You will get different amounts of friendship XP, depending on whether the hero loves (+7), likes (+5) or dislikes (0) the activity you chose for them.

You can not just hang out with your favorite heroes after missions, you can also invite them to havens. Havens are special hangouts, which you unlock by exploring the Abbey. You can use each Haven only once throughout the game and invite each hero only once to any haven.
Once you invite a hero to a haven, a list of available spots will pop up. Each one of those will have a symbol next to it, showing you which activity you'll embark on with Wolverine and such. Havens give you twice as much friendship XP as normal hangouts, so make sure you pick the right activity for each hero.
