A new Overwatch 2 Hero for season 2 got revealed at the OWL Grand Finals: Ramattra, the Omnic tank.
After the release of Overwatch 2 in October, Blizzard is planning on frequently adding new heroes to the Overwatch roster. After the launch of season 1, they had already announced that a new tank hero will come in season 2. In the last few weeks, fans have been racking their brains over who the new hero could be. Blizzard has now finally broken the silence and revealed the newest tank. Unexpected, but still quite to the delight of the fans.
New Overwatch 2 Hero Revealed At OWL Finale
Speculations about the new Overwatch 2 hero have spread on the internet for quite some time now. For the longest time, Mauga was one of the main guesses due to various leaks and the fact that he was a planned hero once before. It turns out that most of us were wrong about the new hero – or is he even a hero?
Well, the latest tank to join the Overwatch squad in season 2 will be Ramattra, a former omnic war machine and Shambli monk. His story and beliefs are fascinating and quite profound. You can see his story trailer here.
Ramattra will join the Overwatch 2 hero roster with the launch of Season 2 on December 6 and will probably be locked at first. As we all know, Blizzard will make sure to pressure us enough to buy the battle pass for season 2, which means that the new hero will most likely be included in it. If there will be a way to unlock him for free in the first season is still unknown.
I guess it will be the same as with Kiriko, that the premium battle pass will unlock him directly, and the free battle pass only at tier 55 or even higher.
