This New RoboCop Gameplay Footage Looks Incredible

During the Nacon Connect livestream, we've got to see more gameplay footage of RoboCop: Rogue City, which was already announced a while back. And we even know the release date now.

RoboCop is already featured in a couple of other well-known shooters, and will also get his own game in the not too distant future. If you don't remember, we'll be happy to help you out: RoboCop: Rogue City, a brand-new title from Nacon, was already announced last year. By the way, these are also the developers behind The Lord of the Rings: Gollum and a yet unnamed Terminator survival game. We were able to see at least some new footage of all three games at the Nacon Connect 2022 showcase – and the developers also had a gameplay trailer ready for RoboCop: Rogue City.

New RoboCop Gameplay Footage Revealed

Before we waste your time any longer, just have a look at the shown material yourself... you can always continue reading this article afterwards.

Am I the weird one here, or does the gameplay trailer look absolutely incredible? Please, don't answer this question. But seriously, I'm already pretty hyped. It's quite awesome to see that the design of RoboCop has hardly changed – which obviously is a sign of a truly classic design. The appearance of the cyborg was even referred to in a press release:

You play as Alex Murphy, whose features will be familiar to fans of the cyborg because actor Peter Weller agreed to be the model for the game's protagonist.

Awesome. Furthermore, we can already tell that RoboCop: Rogue City will focus on both first-person shooter gameplay and multiple-choice dialogues. Along the way, you'll explore Detroit – sounds like quite a good mix to me. However, nothing has been revealed about the story and other gameplay mechanics.

Now, we still have to clarify one of the most important questions. When is the game freaking finally going to be released? Well, it's not scheduled for 2022 anymore – this year, you can only look forward to the release of The Lord of the Rings: Gollum on September 1.

But you can already put RoboCop: Rogue City on your wishlist, because pretty much exactly one year from now – in June 2023 – the upcoming game from Nacon should be available for everyone. You will be able to play RoboCop on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S as well as Nintendo Switch.
