We are all looking forward to Breath of the Wild 2, but wait a second... what will the game actually be about? Nintedo has been very coy with any details regarding the game, especially with the story. But thankfully, people are people and some are better at holding back on info than others. So, we have new details on the story of Breath of the Wild 2 coming directly from one of the voice actors in the game.

Voice Actor Reveals Details About BOTW 2 Story

The Italian Voice Actor Pietro Ubaldi, who plays Daruk in Breath of the Wild, was recently interviewed by, an Italian Zelda fan community, where he revealed that he is in Breath of the Wild 2 again, playing not just Daruk but also one of his ancestors. This has major implications on the story of the game, as Daruk has already been dead for around 10,000 years in the first game. So what could it mean, that there will be an ancestor of his?

It could mean a lot of different things: flashbacks, some sort of afterlife or maybe even time travel. The possibilities are endless, but this hint firmly points towards a deeper story, that will go beyond the small group of characters we had in the first game.

I love Breath of the Wild, but I'm not that well versed in the, surprisingly rich and complicated, history of the franchise. For that I will handily point you to this ResetEra forum, where fans of the series further discuss the implications of this leak.

We're super excited for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2, as probably anyone who has a soul. The first game was a total masterpiece, so we can't wait to see what Nintendo has in store for us, not just in terms of gameplay, but also with the world and the story. It's a shame that we will have to wait a little longer than expected, but until then we will have plenty of other cool Zelda content to hold us above water.
