We're already nearing the end of 2024, but don't worry – the gaming year isn't over yet. We've got some amazing big RPGs still on the way.

The MMORPG of the South Korean studio NCSoft (in the west, published by Amazon) will launch on October, 1 and will be free to play. The twist is that this RPG won't have classes, but you can choose two weapons that will define your play style. The game will be playable on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S and will have crossplay. | © NCSoft
Yes, yes, not a new game but a significant expansion.
Diablo IV had a good start, but a rough couple of seasons. With new DLC, players and developers are hoping that this will be the update everyone wants. Will a new map and a new class be enough? | © Blizzard
From the developers of the Persona series comes a brand-new adventure set in a fantasy setting. The trailer was awesome, and revealed a game that looked well on its way to being a strong release. It's expected to be similar to Persona, but with major changes to combat. We expect this title might even be in with a chance to be crowned 2024's GOTY. | © Atlus
One of the longest RPG franchises in gaming, which started in the mid-80s, will get a tenth game on October 25 (well, in the West; it has already been released in Japan). Ys X will have a dual combat system that will allow you to switch between your heroes in the middle of the fight and will tell the story of the main protagonist of the series, Adol Christin. But don't worry, you don't need to play the other games to know what's going on. | © Nihon Falcom
The highly anticipated fourth part of the Dragon Age series is set to release in late October. Although Bioware has had a rough few years recently, we are still very optimistic about the next Dragon Age. | © Bioware
The remakes of Mario RPG and Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door showed that we still want more Mario RPGs (big surprise). Now, the Mario and Luigi series is getting a brand-new entry. Like other Mario RPGs, the combat system will be turn-based with reaction commands to maximize the power of your attacks. | © Nintendo
For many, this is the best Dragon Quest ever made, and the remake will be launched later this year. A nice chance to catch up with an RPG classic. | © Square Enix
PoE 2, the "Diablo-killer", will go into early access later this year. Fans will be able to dive into brand-new skill trees with a ridiculous amount of options. A nice way to spend thousands of hours. | © Grinding Gear Games
Another cult classic is getting a remake. We don't know exactly when it'll be released, but there's a lot of excitement about seeing the famous Mining Valley again (or for the first time). The trailers showed us that the graphics and gameplay are up-to-date, so let's see if the charm still holds! | © Alkimia Interactive
When we wrote this article, the game was set to come out in 2024, but it has now been pushed back to February. We are being a bit cheeky, but we want to keep this RPG in the gallery because we're convinced it's going to be incredible (and it's coming only six weeks into 2025).
Tired of dragons and trolls? Well, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II will have your back. This is the ultra-realistic Medieval game that is truly unique. And after the incredible success of the first game, we're confident the second will be worth the wait! | © Warhouse Studios
