Nobody mentions a divorce, a move, or a single word about where he went. The show simply recast Jessie's home life without bothering to close the loop it opened. Carrie Heffernan has a sister named Sara in early episodes of The King of Queens, and then she doesn't. Seniors on Pretty Little Liars apparently have time to run a secret investigation, survive multiple kidnappings, and still graduate on schedule. Timeline math never once lines up with how long these events would actually take. Months of plot cram into what should be a few weeks of school. Cheryl and Jason Blossom are introduced as twins on Riverdale, yet somehow attend different grades for parts of the show. Twins share a birthday by definition, which should make separate grade levels impossible. The show never bothers explaining the discrepancy, hoping the family drama distracts from the arithmetic.
