The LEC Spring Split ended a few weeks ago and since then we've all been swept up in the action of the Mid-Season Invitational. So much even that we've barely been able to keep up with player transfers, but this change in the top lane cannot be ignored.

Fnatic, is one of the most well-known teams in the world and they've always been a competitive League of Legends team. This year they've stumbled quite a bit and now they even parted ways with their top laner Martin "Wunder" Nordahl Hansen.

LoL: Wunder Did Not Play During Spring Split

After a disaster of a Winter Split, Fnatic wanted to make some big changes to their roster. To do so, they had decided to hold tryouts for all the positions. Wunder had felt that this was not the right thing to do and did not believe in the roster that was trying out for Fnatic.

This rumoured trialed roster, was not a team I had much hope in. So I said that it doesn't make much sense to trial for a team that you don’t really want to play for.

After refusing to try out, Wunder basically lost his role to Óscar "Oscarinin" Muñoz Jiménez, the current top laner for Fnatic.

Now, after the Spring Split, Fnatic have officially announced the departure of Wunder, which comes as no surprise to anyone, since he has revealed why he wasn't part of the roster before and not much has changed since then.

Fans are hopeful though that he will find another team. Especially Team Heretics' fans have their fingers crossed that the team bought out his contract, since it would unite him with former G2 Esports jungler Marcin "Jankos" Jankowski.

It's yet to be seen where Wunder is going to go and if he is even going to play in the LEC next split. Hell, he might just become a World of Warcraft streamer now.

You still support Fnatic even without Wunder? Then make sure to pick up some merch like these Fnatic headphones !
