We're nearing the 2022 Mid-Season Invitational, which means Riot is going to be making changes accordingly. So, in Patch 12.8 we're going to be getting multiple champion buffs, but also a few adjustments and nerfs. Riot doesn't have time for item changes this time around.
So, let's go over the extensive champion buffs list as well as the smaller nerfs and adjustments which are going to hit the Rift on April 27 and which we will see once MSI kicks off early in May.
Champion Buffs in Patch 12.8
There are multiple champions that we haven't seen much of in pro play, which is why they're on the receiving end of some buffs. Of course, other champions on this list have us scratching our heads a little since they're prominent in both solo queue and in pro play.
|Aatrox||Removed from the Patch|
|Seraphine||Removed from the Patch|
Hopefully with these changes, we finally get to see Bard in pro play once more. This is such a fun support champion to watch and with a lot of these changes geared to the pro meta, we hope that picks like Bard make it through during MSI.
On the other hand, champions like Ezreal and Sylas always find a way into the meta of any pro tournament, which makes their buffs slightly confusing for some.
Champion Nerfs in Patch 12.8
This is a much smaller and shorter list than the buff list. Only four champions will be getting nerfed in the upcoming League of Legends patch.
|Pyke||Removed from the Patch to look into changes in the future|
Pyke is going to live another patch with Riot deciding to make changes at a later date. So for all of you who love to annoy your opponents by spamming Pyke in the mid lane, make sure you continue to abuse this champ, because Riot has decided not to make any changes... for now.
Champion Adjustments in Patch 12.8
Ever since Faker brought out his AP Kai'Sa mid, everyone has gone crazy over this unique pick. Be careful though, it's hard to master, but once you do, it's so much fun. That's why Riot has decided to make some adjustments to the AP build for her.
|Swain||Check the Swain Article Below|
Riot has been working on Swain for a while now. For a full run down of what they're planning, make sure to check out our Swain update article. We go over what is currently being tested on PBE for the epic champion.
Those are all the upcoming changes for the next Patch. Many champions are getting buffed, so hopefully we see some of them played in Busan, South Korea.
