IShowSpeed was forced to leave an Algerian Cup football match after fans in the stands began throwing objects in his direction. The incident happened while the streamer was attending the game as part of his ongoing Africa tour and walking around the pitch ahead of kickoff. After several objects were thrown toward him, his security team advised him to leave the stadium.

What Happened At The Match

The situation unfolded when IShowSpeed attended a live football game as a spectator. He attempted to enter the pitch twice as ultras in the stands began throwing water bottles toward him. When that didn't work, he wanted to watch the game from the stands, but even then, the football team's ultras were clearly unhappy with his presence and started throwing bottles again.

Security personnel soon intervened, escorting IShowSpeed out of the stadium and away from the section. He was not injured, but the moment clearly cut his attendance short and led to questions from fans about what exactly triggered the crowd’s behavior.

A staff member in the stadium tried to explain it:

“They like you, but they don’t like to be filmed. They don’t like it, but they like you.”

Speed didn’t understand that explanation tho:

“They don’t like to be filmed. Everybody got their phones out. Even a national broadcast is filming. You gonna get mad at the national broadcast, too? They don’t like me here bro. We should just leave.”

Speed’s Own Response

IShowSpeed addressed the incident live on stream after leaving the stadium:

“Everything was great today. You can’t let stuff like that get you down. You can’t let that cancel out the whole stream. The whole stream, everybody was showing nothing but love. All of my fans showed love in Algeria, obviously. But at that stadium, I don’t know. I don’t know what happened.”

While the moment was certainly intense, it does not appear to have derailed Speed’s long-term plans or schedule. He will continue his Africa tour, which is scheduled to end in late January.
