After we already reported about the disturbing behavior of Johnny Somali in South Korea, the controversial YouTuber and Streamer will now finally have to go to trial.

Johnny Somali, real name Ramsey Khalid Ismael, made more than uncomfortable situations the main source of his controversial content. Screaming vulgarities, attacking random people and dishonoring cultural relevant spots are just the tip of the iceberg.

Somali's disgusting antics in South Korea

Before, we already reported about him deepfaking the appearance of a famous Korean YouTuber to make it look like they were kissing as well as twerking and kissing a memorial that was build honor of sex slaves during the war in Japan.

South Korean YouTuber and part of special forces Dalgeun Yu might face some jailtime himself after he attacked Somali because of his behavior, explaining “[I] did what I had to do as a Korean citizen”.

After Somali was already arrested in Japan und Israel before, what happened in South Korea may have finally crossed the line.

Police wants to press even more charges

Next to the already mentioned things, he has also been accused of violating South Korea’s anti-terrorism laws, drug use, assault and even spreading North Korean propaganda. And it seems like the police wants to press even more charges.

After all of that, YouTuber and lawyer Legal Mindset has revealed the date of Johnny’s trial – and it will happen sooner as you might think.

The trial might take several weeks

According to Legal Mindset, the trial will officially start on December 20 and even though recording in the court room won’t be allowed, he will provide updates about the happenings on X (former Twitter).

South Korean trials have multiple stages: After the first hearing there will be a sentencing phase that could take up to several weeks. That means even if Somali takes the opportunity to plead guilty, the sentencing will take a while – especially because of the fact that new evidence will be allowed during that time.

And with all the videos and streams Somali made sure would include his crimes, that could be a lot.

What do you think about Johnny Somali? Do you think he will finally face jail time after all of that?
