MindsEye is pretty much the biggest disaster since Cyberpunk. Totally understandable, as the main character agrees.

Everyone knows by now that MindsEye flopped. Now the actor who played the protagonist has commented on it.
BARB Not Only Built A Rocket, But Also Shot Itself Down With It
MindsEye is an absolute disaster, as we have already reported. Numerous game-breaking bugs and a game that definitely seems unfinished have players boiling over at a price of $60. But even before that, it was clear that the game would not have the smoothest start: From accusations of conspiracies against Build a Rocket Boy to missing pre-release versions for testers, not to mention the decision to release hardly any gameplay footage in advance (apparently for good reason). Now Rocket Boys are likely to be sent to the moon: the company has already laid off several employees following the release of the "GTA killer".
But now Alex Hernandez, who lent his face to the game's protagonist Jacob Diaz, has spoken out about the gaming experience – and shows understanding for gamers.

Gamers Understand The Pain
He agrees with gamers in that, as a gamer himself, he understands that it is simply too frustrating to pay full price for a game that is not 100% complete. Why would a company sell a product that is obviously not yet finished? He believes that the flawed release would only harm the game in the long run. This is evident from the criticism on the internet, which, as we know, never forgets: the game received a fabulously poor 38 points on MetaCritic.

At Least Hernandez Had Fun
Nevertheless, Hernandez also talks about the positive experiences he gained during the game's development. These are more personal and not necessarily related to the final product. He says that producing a game is a huge undertaking that cannot be taken lightly. He is proud of the people he worked with and finds it extremely unfortunate that things turned out the way they did. According to him, they are "good people who tried to do a good thing", and he notes that he loved working on the game.

He proves once again that he is a really cool guy by admitting that he really has to laugh at some of the mistakes, especially when they concern his character.
In terms of the story and the cinematics, there are a couple of glitches I find amusing. Turning into some weird creature. I love that stuff.
What do you think of MindsEye and Jacob Diaz, played by Alex Hernandez?
