Marvel Rivals is everyone's favorite shooter right now, but recently, a big problem has been building up... Ruining the game for many.

Marvel Rivals launched on December 6, 2024, and quickly became a massive success. The game has skyrocketed in popularity over the past weeks, solidifying itself as the must-play shooter of the moment. However, with mods now appearing online, so are cheaters – becoming an increasingly pressing issue for many players.
Cheaters in Marvel Rivals
Cheaters are an unfortunate reality in nearly every online game. As long as their numbers remain low, most players tolerate the occasional encounter. Right now, though, Marvel Rivals seems to be facing a growing cheating problem.
Prominent streamers, including Eskay and bogur, have spoken out about this issue on X (formerly Twitter). Both reported encountering cheaters in well over half of their recent matches, severely diminishing the enjoyment of the game.
60% of my games were cheaters today and it was NOT fun if they don't do something about this soon, the game will be unplayable in like a month https://t.co/ISPcxXeJOG

Marvel Rivals had an impressive launch. Player numbers surged on day one, and the game itself felt remarkably polished. There were hardly any bugs, matchmaking was fair, gameplay was balanced, and waiting times between matches were almost nonexistent. For a free-to-play title, this level of quality is rare. Before its release, I feared Marvel Rivals might suffer a disastrous launch akin to Overwatch 2, plagued by server crashes, cheaters, severe bugs, and other issues that rendered it unplayable.
Now that cheaters are finding ways to ruin Rivals as well, I sincerely hope the developers take swift and decisive action to address the problem.
And to all the cheaters out there: Do us all a favor and rethink your actions. You're embarrassing yourselves.
