Rainbow Six Siege: Top 5 Attackers For Solo-Queing In Year 9, Season 1

1-5

Here are the Operators you should be using this season!

Ying

5. Ying

Ying excels as an Operator for solo-que, especially in lower rank lobbies, where players tend to camp in corners more often. Her "Candelas" or flashes spread effectively, blinding enemies for a solid four seconds (and you've got four of them!). What's more, her special glasses shield you from your own flashes.

Armed with an LMG having 81 rounds, even if all five defenders are holed up in a closet, you've got more than enough ammo to take them down. The only catch? You'll need to cook the Candelas before throwing them for an instant pop. If not, they'll take three seconds to detonate, leaving you vulnerable to a defender's counter push.

Note: A lot of players tend to throw all four Candelas at once into the bombsite during a "smoke plant"... Don't do that, it's a waste of utility. | © Ubisoft

Zero

4. Zero

Zero is a great all-rounder operator for solo queuing. With four cams equipped with zappers to zap away enemy gadgets, a hard breach gadget, and a reliable weapon, he's perfect for one mission: pushing solo from an unexpected side of the map.

Quietly destroy gadgets and even breach through reinforced walls with ease, catching enemies off guard and securing some easy kills. Especially in low rank lobbies, where the enemy team probably doesn't have a lot of communication, you should have a lot of fun playing this operator! | © Ubisoft

Thatcher

3. Thatcher

Thatcher is a great operator, who effectively disables almost all the defenders' utilities (just watch out for Frost mats) for a whopping ten seconds. This gives you plenty of time to assist your team in breaching an electrified wall or pushing into sight smoothly, as all defender gadgets and traps are useless for 10 seconds.

He counters nearly every defender gadget, has a solid weapon with minimal recoil, and comes equipped with claymores for flank cover, making him a top choice for both solo and team play. Honestly, he'd easily take the number two spot in our opinion if he wasn't constantly banned, especially in lower rank lobbies. | © Ubisoft

Jackal

2. Jackal

In low rank lobbies, it's all about getting kills. Strategy isn't a thing, so what could be better than having an operator who can track defenders based on their footsteps? Jackal can track down up to three enemies in one round (or one enemy three times, if you're feeling cheeky), and with a bit of map knowledge, you can get them as free kills.

The best part? Your entire team can see the pings and join in the hunt. Roamers don't stand a chance, and his only counter is Caveira, who can erase her footsteps.

His primary weapons are one of the best in the game, and he's armed with a shotgun as a secondary, allowing for vertical play. In solo queue, he shines because you don't have to rely on droning as much, and while droning, you're not as vulnerable to defenders when you're flying solo. If he wouldn't be banned constantly, he'd be easily at the top! | © Ubisoft

Ace

1. Ace

First, you need to understand the fundamental concept of Rainbow 6 Siege: Attackers must create as many lines of sight as possible. The idea is simple: if defenders are hiding in a room with just one door, they only need to watch that door, while they can hide almost anywhere within the room. Attackers, on the other hand, must breach doors, walls, and windows to open up multiple entry points.

This forces defenders to cover a lot more ground, and that's where Ace shines. As a hard breacher with 3 Ace charges that can be thrown, he doesn't even need to be next to the wall to breach it. In low-ranked lobbies, it's rare to have someone volunteer for a hard breacher role, so if you want to climb the ranks quickly, you'll have to step up.

But don't worry; Ace's fantastic AK guarantees plenty of fun and kills after the job's done, making him the top operator right now. He's one of only three hard breachers and comes with a powerful utility that can let you win almost every round. Whether you're playing at high or low elo, solo queue or with a team, Ace is a solid choice in any scenario, which is why he's currently the best attacker in the game! | © Ubisoft
