Insomniac Games developers just scrapped rumors about story DLC for the Spider-Man sequel, and fans are unhappy.

Both Spider-Man games developed by Insomniac Games have been massive successes, garnering praise from both critics and fans. The smooth gameplay mechanics and impressive world-building contributed to the instant success of Spider-Man 2, which has sold millions of copies worldwide.
But, sadly, we won't be getting DLC for some reason...
Insomniac Confirms No DLC for Spider-Man 2, Leaving Fans Disappointed
As excitement grows for the PC release of Spider-Man 2, many fans have been speculating about potential downloadable content for the game.
The original Spider-Man game received a post-launch DLC campaign titled “The City That Never Sleeps” just a month after its release. As a result, many fans were confident and excited that a similar DLC would be available for Spider-Man 2.

However, those hopes were dashed when Insomniac Games confirmed, alongside the announcement of the PC release in January 2025, that there are no plans for any post-release DLC for Spider-Man 2. This news is especially disappointing for fans who have criticized the sequel for being significantly shorter than the first game.
Some players even mentioned that they plan to remove the game from their libraries now that there will be no additional content. But this feels like an empty threat.
What’s your take on the lack of DLC for Spider-Man 2? Does the game deserve DLC, or would you rather the team focus on Spider-Man 3 for now?
