Although it's been two years since Valorant's official release, the game is still not optimized as the community would have hoped. That said, sometimes, even if you have a NASA PC, you'll have to tweak a little bit with the in-game settings to get acceptable performance. And so, we present you with the settings that we believe most of you will find optimal for Valorant.

The Best Valorant Settings

Mouse Settings: DPI & Sensitivity

For mouse settings, we prefer to go with high DPI and low sensitivity. This is also what most of the pro players recommend; one of the most well-known pro players, Jacobb "yay" Whiteaker believes that it is much easier to be consistent on low sensitivity:

That said, our perfect mouse settings for Valorant would look like this:

Scoped Sensitivity1
Windows Sensitivity6

Video Settings

As for video settings, reaching high FPS values should be your priority. Unless you are a streamer, you shouldn't care about how pretty your game is, it's a secondary issue. The most important thing is how smooth your game is, so you can avoid any potential lags.

And even if you are a streamer, look at TenZ! Even though he has a jacked PC, he still has all of his graphics settings set on low.

Crosshair Settings

Crosshair is a pretty personal thing, so there is obviously no single best setting that will fit every player.

However, we have an article with 15 crosshairs from the latest VCT Champions tournament, so if you are looking for inspiration in that matter, you might want to check it out: Valorant Crosshair Pro Settings: How The VCT Champions Play

Map Settings

Your map settings are more essential than you would think, as minimap is a place where most of the important information is displayed. However, just like with the crosshair, it's mostly about your preferences and monitor that you are using.

Still, these are the most common settings we would recommend for most of the players:

Keep Player CenteredOff

Minimap Size

Minimap Zoom1
Minimap Vision ConesOn

How Important Are Your Settings in Valorant?

It's crucial to make your gameplay as comfortable as possible, and we can provide this comfort with settings. However, it is worth mentioning that there is no single set of settings that will ensure you win games and give you an aimbot.

A much more important thing in progressing in Valorant is how much you play the game. As long as you feel comfortable with your setup and feel like it's effective, your actual settings don't really matter. Want to play on an Xbox pad? Or play inverted like Zedd? No problem! In fact, the longer you play this way, the better you'll do. It's all up to you!

That said, we must point out that the settings you can find in this article are only a suggestion, which we believe is the most optimal for most players.
