The Best Warzone Grav Loadout | New Meta Sniper Support

The Grav is quietly emerging as the best Sniper Support in Warzone, thanks to an SMG-like potential in close-range. Here's the best attachment setup and loadout for the Grav.

A lot of you will probably have forgotten about the Grav, because it's the most forgettable weapons in the game, alongside the CARV. The Grav was released in the final season of BOCW, but players already had hundreds of great options to choose from, and they were basically tired of the current game and ready for a new one. So why would they get hyped for yet another AR. As the months rolled by, all the older BOCW guns began receiving nerfs, while the Grav was able to sneak beneath the radar. Because no one was picking it... Raven pretty much ignored it.

But now, in 2022, the Grav sits in the number one spot of all ARs for the 0-25 m range. And bit by bit, players are beginning to realize this weapon's potential. We tested it extensively ourselves and can confirm that the Grav is now an excellent Sniper Support, thanks to close-range lethality and good mobility. So keep reading for a rundown of the best attachments to use and a complete loadout guide.

How To Unlock The Grav?

To unlock the Grav, you need to kill 3 different enemies who are on a lower elevation from you in Warzone or Black Ops Cold War multiplayer. Once you have your three kills from a higher elevation than the enemy, you need to complete the match for them to register. On Warzone, we suggest waiting until Clash is in rotation and then camping a tall building in the center of the map. In BOCW multiplayer we recommend playing Nuketown 24/7 and camping in either of the upstairs bedrooms.

If you were playing Warzone in Season 6 of BOCW (November 2021) then you probably already have the Grav, but perhaps didn't even notice it among the dozens and dozens of ARs we have now.

For the Grav to get this build, you basically need to max level it, but luckily, you can get it to a usable state at around the mid-20s. When you do have everything unlocked, you want to use the above build to reduce recoil as much as possible without hurting the range or handling. You might want to try the task force barrel and the sound suppressor for increased mobility, but we prefer this slightly more controllable build.

We're building a sniper support, so the complete loadout will obviously also contain a sniper. Since the Swiss and the Kar were nerfed into the ground, the ZRG is looking like the go-to rifle for people who still want to snipe. It's not as fast as those two old legends, but it's fast enough, and the bullet velocity is outstanding.

For a complete overview of the ZRG, here is our loadout guide.

The Best Equipment For The Grav

LethalClaymore
TacticalHeartbeat Sensor

If we're going to be sniping then why not go full campy and take Claymores and a Heartbeat Sensor? The former to make sure no one can sneak into our hideout, and the latter for making slow approaches into the final circle. It's not original (or very brave) but it's probably the best equipment choice for a dedicated sniper class.

The Best Perks For The Grav

Perk 1Cold-Blooded
Perk 2Overkill

Perk 3

Combat Scout

These perks are fairly on meta right now, but if it's not broken, then why fix it? Overkill is necessary for a loadout with two primary weapons, Cold-Blooded will help us counter the very popular Combat Scout perk, and we'll use Combat Scout ourselves because it's so effective while sniping in the jungle environments of Caldera. And that brings us to the end of our complete guide to the Grav in Warzone. If you go away and try this loadout, and the Grav still has too much visual recoil for you, then perhaps take the STG with 7.62 Gorenko mags for an easier Sniper Support choice that can still compete with the top-tier.
