The first Resurgence map is coming to Warzone 2 in Season 2: Ashika Island. The map is basically a small island, similar to Fortune's Keep, and in its center is a Japanese-style castle. Here's everything you need to know about Ashika Island.
Warzone 2 Season 2 will introduce the first Resurgence map: Ashika Island. If you don't know what Resurgence is, this is basically a smaller, more forgiving version of Battle Royale. You can respawn for free if at least one of your teammates is still alive, and the lobbies are far smaller, consisting of only 40 to 50 players. It blends the fun of traditional multiplayer with the BR format.
In this article, you can find all the information you need to know about Ashika Island, including its release date, how it will affect the DMZ, and all the POIs we know about so far. Oh, and don't panic if you prefer traditional BR; Al Mazrah will not replace Ashika Island, they will exist side-by-side.

Ashika Island will also be used in Warzone's new extraction-shooter mode, DMZ. As confirmed in a recent blog post from the devs:
With a new Exclusion Zone coming to Season 02, players will have a third option to choose from when deploying in DMZ.
We think a smaller location could suit the DMZ mode very well, but it will far more PvP focused than DMZ on Al Mazrah. So if you don't want PvP action in your DMZ experience, maybe this map isn't for you.
