Although Fortnite players are already excited to see what Epic Games have in store for Chapter 3, Season 2, big things still await us in Season 1! Following the introduction of the Silk Sonic pack and the new Uncharted skins, Epic will be bringing a new Spider-Man skin and more to the island with Update 19.40.
We've got the downtime and everything you need to know about Update 19.40 for Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 1 for you.
Fortnite Patch 19.40 Downtime
Fortnite Update 19.40 will launch alongside Fortnite's server downtime on Tuesday, March 01, 2022 at 10:00AM. It is expected that the servers will be down for no longer than 2 hours, with all game modes being unplayable during this time. After that, you'll be able to jump into the game as usual.
Fortnite Update 19.40 Patch Notes
With every patch, new things come to the Fortnite island. And even though there are no official patch notes, some leaks tell us what new things might come into the game with Fortnite Update 19.40.
New Spider-Man Skin
Epic Games say that we should prepare to "swing" into this update, which is the only official teaser we've got so far. In the announcement blog for Chapter 3, Season 1, Epic told players that they "will find new Spider-Man skins (as well as some friends and enemies) in the item store throughout the Season." It seems very likely that it's time to fulfil that promise.
Epic is certainly going further with Marvel collaborations, as an upcoming crossover seems to indicate that a Shuri skin is on the way.

Naomi Osaka Skin
Epic Games have already announced this as well, but tennis legend Naomi Osaka is soon joining the iconic Fortnite series. The new Naomi Osaka outfits and accessories will be available in Fortnite starting March 4, 2022.
Fortnite Wild Week
Fortnite leakers have also hinted that we can expect a new Wild Week and its challenges, as well as the possible unlock of the Revolver, in update 19.40.
The last Wild Week in Fortnite was the Bowballing Week, where bows were unlocked. Leaker Shiina stated that the new Wild Week will have "to do with Spider-Man's web shooters and mobility," which would fit well with Epic's hint.
Otherwise, as with every patch, there will be some bug fixes again. If you're interested, you can read about them on Fortnite's official Trello board.
