AMONG US: The surprise hit of the year! Among Us was released two years ago, but only celebrated its breakthrough in 2020 and delighted many players. We love Among Us! No wonder it's on the list of top-selling games. After all, it is available for mobile devices as well as for the PC and, more recently, also for the Nintendo Switch. InnerSloth's multiplayer deduction game doesn't have groundbreaking graphics and looks simple, but it's all the more fun, especially in large groups with friends. (Image Credit: InnerSloth)
COUNTER-STRIKE: GLOBAL OFFENSIVE: CS:GO is eight years old, but it's still very popular. The online tactical shooter developed by Valve is again one of the games with the most sales this year. CYBERPUNK 2077: Yes, we all know that the game has its problems. Bugs, game crashes, you name it. Cyberpunk 2077 provided a lot of material for criticism, but also for funny memes. Still, all this doesn't seem to have hurt sales. The CD Projekt RED game was eagerly awaited (and pre-purchased well in advance) by fans. If only they had known about the quirks beforehand. DOTA 2: Another long-running hit on the list of best-selling games in 2020: Dota 2 has been on the market for seven years (even more if you count the beta). The multiplayer online battle arena game from Valve always brings a breath of fresh air with patches and new heroes that keep the game alive. Hoodwink recently joined the roster with Mistwoods Update. Much like CS: GO, Dota 2 is a free to play title and all that players can buy are cosmetics. FALL GUYS: ULTIMATE KNOCKOUT: With Fall Guys, Mediatonic brought a surprising game trend of 2020. 60 players try to assert themselves in mini battle royale style games in order to secure a crown in the end. After the resounding success, the party game is now in Season 3 and is constantly being expanded with new levels, costumes, and other little things like the current winter makeover that matches the season. GRAND THEFT AUTO V: Fans are still waiting eagerly for GTA VI and recently the setting of the sequel could have been leaked in a trailer for the fifth part. That fifth offshoot is still very successful, so there seems to be no rush for Rockstar Games. RED DEAD REDEMPTION 2: Speaking of Rockstar Games: Red Dead Redemption 2 has been one of the most successful video games in history since its release in 2018 and broke the previous record for most pre-orders as well as the sales record on the opening weekend. The year 2020 is drawing to a close, and another gaming year with lots of great games is over. Steam has finally published some of the 2020 lists, showing us the best games of the year. Today we look at the best-selling games in 2020! Steam has divided the games according to gross sales into platinum, gold, silver, and bronze and the following titles were able to achieve the platinum rating.
