Overwatch 2 Season 4: Everything We Know
It's hard to believe that we have almost reached season 4 of Overwatch 2 when it feels like the game was only released a couple of weeks ago. Every other season in Overwatch 2 will add a new hero to the roster, since the last season only contained a map, season 4 is going to bring a newcomer to the squad. Or maybe we already know this character?
Overwatch 2 Season 4 Release Date
Season 3 is still underway in Overwatch 2 and will run for a few more weeks. At the moment, the game is still hosting the One Punch Man event, which will last until the end of the season. Therefore, season 4 will start on April 12.

New Support Hero
Every other season in Overwatch 2, Blizzard is going to bring another hero to the game. In season 2, we got to welcome Ramattra, a new tank hero that many fans grew quite fond of. But since Overwatch has a big problem with lacking support heroes and support players, the developers have announced that the next few upcoming heroes are all going to be supporters, which is really nice to hear.
It's not like healers in Overwatch 2 aren't good enough, we just need more of them. A lot of supporters are quite hard to play and not really beginner-friendly. This is why many new players would rather switch to playing a tank like Winston or easy DPS like Soldier 76 or Sojourn.
If we had a bigger variety of support heroes in Overwatch 2 so that everyone had an option that suits them, we would have way better team mechanics in general. (And shorter queue times for DPS and Tanks obviously).

Hints About Hero Reworks
Mercy
With the new update of season 3, Mercy received some bigger buffs for her healing output and self-heal ability. But now it feels like she is quite overpowered and really hard to fight against. Although it might be a good thing, in general, to make support heroes stronger, making Mercy unbearable is definitely not the way.
With that said, we think that Blizzard is either going to nerf her again or maybe even change up her kit a bit more.

Sombra
Usually, we know Sombra as this super high IQ and strong character, but right now, she is actually quite weak. Some even say that she is currently the worst DPS in the game.
Overwatch 2 lead hero designer, Jared Neuss, announced that they are going to give her a whole rework with some major changes to her set.
“There’s a new toy in terms of an ability or something in her kit that’s very different.”
