The PS Plus Games for July 2021 have been announced, and they should make... Call of Duty fans happy... I guess? Well PS5 players get a great game, so there's that, but PS4 gamers... sorry, guys. PS Plus July is disappointing.

As always, we speculated on what would come to PS Plus in July, and... we got the PS5 game exactly right:

Also, don't forget, you can still get Virtua Fighter Showdown for free for another month!

PlayStation Plus Games July 2021

A Plague Tale: Innocence | PS5

PS5 only, sorry. This is arguably the only good game in this PS Plus July lineup and... it's legit a great game. Now it hits PS5 at 4K and with 60 FPS, plus faster loading times. There is not much to be said here other than: If you own a PS5, you don't want to miss this one. It's a history game about Amicia and her little brother Hugo and let me say this: It's ok to be scared. It's ok to cry, and it's also absolutely fine to be terrified of the rats, because... there's a lot of rats.

Seriously, play this and then look forward to the sequel, Plague Tale: Requiem, which looks amazing and is due for 2022. Here's a look at Plague Tale: Innocence if you're not familiar:

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 | PS4, PS5

I mean... really, Sony? This is your PS Plus July choice? Black Ops 4? Who cares? Nobody's even playing Black Ops Cold War...

If you need me to tell you or show you what Black Ops 4 is all about, then you're not interested in the game anyway and if you already know what Black Ops 4 is, you're either not interested or played it already... this is a dud. Seriously... terrible choice, Sony. If you're a CoD fan I can only suggest you check out our Call of Duty section about the CoD games that are actually being played.

Moving on...

WWE 2K Battlegrounds | PS4, PS5

We go from bad to worse. WWE 2K Battlegrounds looks terrible, cheap and is also a terribly cheap game. I guess if you have a couple friends over for drinks... this might just do. If you're a hardcore WWE fan... then I guess this might bring you joy for an hour. If you ask me, it's not worth the space on your hard drive, nor the time it takes to download. Told you from the start the PS Plus Games for July suck. Anyway... I guess it's worth showing you some gameplay for this, in case you don't believe me:
