After The Last of Us, the other greatest game of our generation is getting a TV series: Red Dead Redemption 2.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is an amazing game and some of the best storytelling that gaming has to offer. In fact, playing Red Dead often felt like watching a Tarantino Western - it's one of those games that's just as beautiful to sit and watch someone play, as it is to play yourself. Well, unsurprisingly, I am not the only one who noticed the cinematographic mastery, because, believe it or not, there is a Red Dead Redemption 2 TV series.
Red Dead Redemption 2 TV Series In Development
To be fair... it's not exactly the HBO treatment that The Last of Us is getting, because this RDR 2 TV show is being made by a dedicated fan. After a fan turned RDR 2 into a book for his dad, this YouTube channel decided to take it one step further and turn the damn thing into a show.
In fact, this channel has been going on for a year now, and it is turning the game into 45-minute episodes. But before you start cussing me out for clickbait, do believe me - this is much more than glorified Let's Play. The RDR 2 show focuses on the story and shoots the gameplay so well, that it is hard to differentiate from cutscenes. Unnecessary combat is avoided, and, when it does happen, it is choreographed to perfection. Remember how I wrote that RDR 2 is beautiful to watch? Yeah... this thing takes it to the next level.
With 45-minute episodes, this project will probably run for a while, so this might just be the thing to tide us over until Red Dead Redemption 3 arrives. The creators are doing all of this for free, so if you want to show some love (and financial support), you can drop by their Patreon page.
