LCS Players to Look Out For in 2022

1-5

The LCS Lock-in is coming soon - what are the players we are most interested in seeing?

Boyan Penev
League of Legends -
Abbe D2 0901

Abbedagge

5. Felix "Abbedagge" Braun: The 100 Thieves mid laner was one of the big surprises of 2021. "Fakerdagge" had already shown promise in the LEC, including being part of FC Schalke 04’s famous miracle run in the summer of 2020. In 2021, he went to NA in between splits and almost immediately became one of the very best in the region. At Worlds, 100T went in group with tournament favorite T1 and eventual champions Edward Gaming and ended with a very respectable 3:3 score. We can’t wait to see him this year. | © 100 Thieves

Impact2 0901

Impact

4. Jeong "Impact" Eon-young: Impact has long been one of NA’s best top laners. The LCS has seen other world champions flounder in its ranks, but Impact has been a stalwart ever since his move to Cloud9 in 2016. Last year, he barely missed going to Worlds for the sixth time in a row, but he is still an absolute powerhouse - and we want to see how he does in 2022. | © Riot Games

Po E2 0901

PowerofEvil

3. Tristan "PowerOfEvil" Schrage: Yes, there will be several mid laners here. The German mid made his name with EU fan favorites Unicorns of Love before moving to Misfits Gaming and having the now-famous 5-game series against SKT T1 at Worlds 2017. He floundered for a while on weak NA rosters before coming to FlyQuest and returning to the Worlds scene. Last year, he had a somewhat weaker year on TSM. Can he shine as bright on Immortals or would he fade into the background?| © Riot Games

H Sama 0901

Hans Sama

2. Steven “Hans Sama” Liv: The LCS got several high-profile signings this preseason, but this is the one we are most hyped for. Hans Sama has long been seen as one of the best ADCs in Europe, but he never shone so bright as he did last year when he carried Rogue to the Worlds quarterfinals in a group with Damwon, FPX and Cloud9. Now he arrives in NA, joining a top player like Jo "CoreJJ" Yong-in. How far will he go?| © Riot Games

Bjerg1 0901

Bjergsen

1. Søren "Bjergsen" Bjerg: For seven years, Bjergsen was not just synonymous with TSM - he was practically synonymous with NA League of Legends. After a year as a coach the impossible happened and Bjergsen has left the team, returning to play for a star-studded lineup in Team Liquid. Will he be the strongest? We are tempted to say no, but we have learned never to say never as far as Bjergsen is concerned. Either way, however, we want to see what the Bjergerking does in 2022. | © Riot Games
